Yes 2.0 is coming, with init.d support and ooddles(sp?) of boot loading tweaks for your speed freakin pleasure, but its far from done, lots of other projets going on in my personal life as well, it will be a few weeks before I can work on it with any seriousness.
So far this ROM seems perfect. it is fast booting, good on battery life (had the phone on constantly screen awake playing with it for hours and still had 71% in the end) and it HAS NOT EVER phantom booted yet. whatever you did to the kernel it works perfectly. even with my preferred launcher and apps it is speedy, stable, even when overclocked. and boots FAST! great job!
EDIT: it also recharges fast. 15 minutes it went from 59% to fully charged. also, i have noticed the phone model in settings is changed to ZTE Hotrod. is that an actual ZTE model you used the stuff from or is that just creative license?
EDIT2: added, whatever you did to this ROM to eliminate the 'low space' notification and lack of sync, that's great! it never shows up and i always get my syncs to work--tested to 10MB left.
Thanks for all the good feedback, "Hotrod" really is just creative license, the perfect description for the device with all those tweaks if you ask me. Glad you like it, 2.0 is going to blow this version out of the water. Im not going to give it all away yet, but 2.0 is completely redesigned. It is not based on the stock merit rom at all. Its a frankenstien monster... but way faster on the hoof...
I have actually just recently discovered that I could not send pictures as well, but assumed it was somthing i messed up since then. Im trying to find the solution... but have nothing yet...
Im glad you brought this up... Has anyone else had MMS issuses too?
really? finally a non-stock-based ROM. all i know is that i managed to get all my apps and stuff on there in less than 20 mins with its speed (even fast when set to 600MHz, tested to 800)
BTW what do 'smartass' governers and 'noop' I/O schedulers do? i've assumed they disable them as it seems smoother with those in there than with 'ondemand' or 'deadzone' settings
I believe it is top keyboard, but I could be wrong, I switched keyboard apps at some point so I guess I forget, I use swiftkey in my personal roms.
The I/O scheduler just makes sure that all of the apps you have running recieve their "fair share" of your devices prossesing power, deadline is prefered, but noop works quite well too

Is there a way to delete the stock lock screen? I use Go Locker and it keeps showing the old lock screen if I reboot the phone and sometimes it shows on top of Go Locker lock randomly. Tried no lock screen from the store but it won't stick after restart either...
go locker is kinda weak, not to knock go because they make good stuff, the only way you can mod a lockscreen is with UOT and those mods are minimal, unless you take the rom apart on your computer.
Maybe tomorrow, maybe the next... dev time is at a premium these days and Ive got a few projects Im jugglin, but yes at least by the 24th.
I cant call this 2.0 yet, it doesnt deserve it, but as you can see from the internal space in the sreenshot, it will be quite an upgrade. Such things as, "Dang, this app is too big to justify installing on my phone" will never enter your mind again.

too bad my SD cannot be partitioned... far too much backup data and music over the years--can't risk it. which is why i won't touch Link2SD with a 40-foot-pole
Ouch. Thats too bad. Im only rockin an eight gb. Bought it new for like ten bucks, they are a lot cheaper than they used to be, with way better read/write speeds too.
@Boogy, Id say Im roundin second base on the whiteout mod, its been quite a challenge, white is a tricky color, but I will say this... It just might be my new favorite... Its really sexy.
