*** IF YOU HAVE BOOST MOBILE N860 DO NOT FLASH THIS ROM. IT IS ONLY FOR THE PUBLIC MOBILE WARP.***

I Figured this would be a good tool to have...
This is the stock update from ZTE modified to work on CWM recovery:

CWM_PMI_N860_b07.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

This will restore splash screens recovery and system for the Public Mobile
N860.

1- Wipe factory default.
2- advanced->wipe dalvik cache
3- install from sd card.... Done!

I had to flash this to be able to install the N860 Public Mobile original update.zip from ZTE's website. Now I am getting calls with 3G on, but my satellite location is still gone. I was at the store today and they're already giving up on the warp, have to travel for 2 hours by bus to the nearest store that does warranty replacements on the Warp, but my store is already selling this phone to new customers.

what's really disappointing is that the new (ICS) phone has an (iPhone 4) size screen and exactly the same CPU as the warp, it might anger those wanting Ice Cream Sandwich for Warp, but it also might help ROM development, since the hardware is so similar.

when i put my zte n860 from public mobile in recovery i get a screen like this:
..........................................
Android system recovery <3e>

Android system recovery utility

reboot system now
apply update from sd card
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition

.........................................
normally the list is supposed to have more options?
ALso when i try to select any of the above options nothing happens. the only way i can get out of this screen is to take out the battery.

This phone has been glitchy since it was brand new. i want to put it back to factory so that i can get a new one under warranty.

Any help on on putting this back to the original public mobile software without using the system recovery method? is there another tool i can use to install the factory rom or a way to fix my issue?

i have attached the factory rom that i found online called:
cwm_pmi_n860_b07.zip

the back to stock rom installs on clockwork recovery... you still have your stock recovery so you can use the stock update from zte... here is a link:

P020120821641123679818.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

I made the stock rom from this update... the only difference between the two is that when you do have clockwork recovery installed, the orginal rom will not install...

i downloaded the link and followed the instructions on the pdf attached. Everything seemed to work. But it seems like the phone is still rooted and the factory apps are not installed and the holo launcher and other apps like absolute system ect. are still there.

I need this phone to be reset to factory so i can bring it in for warranty. Any ideas???

Ok silly me. it appeared that the quite-cwmrecoverybeta file that i pasted to c:\ and renamed to recovery.img was done wrong. i re pasted the original and renamed to recovery.img and then i got access to the cwm and then installed the stock zip file in the first post. Now it appears my phone is back to stock. Thanks God!
