Is the whine back in the headphone output on 246?

Someone has already complained that that is Happening on ICS

If you hear whine on ICS, please respond.

If you don't hear it, BUT have NEVER heard the headphone whine in the past, please don't bother to respond, as the issue has to do with the OS, your hearing, and headphone sensitivity.

Basically, I'm interested in hearing from folks who remember the whine last year with the original release of the OS. It disappeared with the first update (901?)

yeah, i made another thread and mentioned that Verizon is sending me a Razr Maxx because of it.

I just finished doing an FDR and the whine is gone.

i am curious, can you describe the whine? what are you using for a headset?
i have tinnitus so i hear things different. i need noise to down it out and create interference not to notice. i really hear it when i have headsets on. constant ringing.

but what i do hear is a noise when the circle busy icon displays and the animated graphic is spinning. reminds me of a hard disk seek noise.

anyone else hear that?

I'd rather have a Maxx than do a reset on a Bionic. Time involved, pretty much the same. Cost difference? $10 for a shell/holster from Amazon. Someone on another thread did a reset and THE WHINE IS STILL THERE, so what does your comment prove? It's either BS, or it's true but doesn't matter to me, as I want a DIFFERENT PHONE!

You seem to be taking this whine issue pretty personally. Kriegen's comment doesn't appear to be directed at you in any way and you jump all over him.

It proves that a FDR worked for him. It may not work for everyone, but it's worth a try before spending the time to get a different phone from VZW.
