When i first installed chomp about 2 months ago the keyboard was quicker (less laggy) than the stock message app now it has a ton of lag. anybody else have this issue with chomp? also its getting some fc issues on certain mms. anybody know anything about these issues?

ok ... its kinda sad that it comes to this lol... there shouldnt be this many versions of the same phone os (kinda the reason they organize this forum by phone i think lol) ... but do you have 2.1 leak, 2.1 leak v2, 1.5, or 2.1 root? lol

i've done this still lagging. ive cleared cache on everything.

Have you deleted your texts? Or cleaned them up to under 200 total?

i usually keep them pretty low, but i dont think i deleted since before clearing cache i will check that out

I've noticed fc on my mms
and I've even noticed stock msg is faster than chomp sms
and im on 2.1 leak version 1

Cleared cache and deleted msg. Still lag. Is there any other good msg apps? I liked chomp better than handcent because of the font size adjustment in the outgoing msg box and chomp is easier to customize.
