Dear all Android users and fans,

I'm new to this forum so hopefully I will have a fun stay here! A little bit of myself - I'm a 14 years old male and I am from Singapore.

Ok so anyway, do you think a Galaxy Note 1 (LTE) is a better choice over the Galaxy SIII or vice versa? I am considering Note 1 (LTE) because it has a larger screen but I also love the SIII for its amazing sound effects and features.

Please do not tell me to get Note II because I do not have the $$$ now and have to wait until like December and I cannot stand it anymore with my Sony Arc S.

Thanks

Hello friend, you should think what you want the phone to be use for. If you have big hands, naturally you will love the Note but unfortunately I do not have. If you want it for portability, S3 is for the win. If it is for the size, then the Note. Anyway, you should just choose the one you like. Close your eyes and visualise the phone you are holding and you enjoyed holding it.

Thank you for that advise. But the thing is that in my country, the Note 1 LTE is cheaper than the S3 3G. It's strange but true because the mobile carriers in my country are encouraging people to use LTE phone so they reduce the price of certain older phones like the S2.

The Note I is indeed cheaper than the SIII because its an older generation device. My point, get the best phone you can afford. A Note 2 is almost the same price as an S3, so why not get it? It has all the features of an S3 and is the same size as a Note 1.

The reason I am getting a new phone is because I want to re-contract my plan on 26 Oct which is today. The Note 1 LTE for my carrier is $348 for my plan while the SIII (3G) is $398. The SIII LTE is $468 and Note II LTE is $568. It is not because I am poor or something but it is because I want to save the money and I want to buy a new pair of shoes and new bag for next year.
So this is the reason why I want the Note 1 LTE as the price is good for an amazingly big phone which fits nicely into my hand :)

chanchan05: FYI I am living in Singapore so new devices which have high demand like the Note II and iPhone 5 will cost a bomb and of course, sell a lot too. With Singapore being ''Apple-mad'', these overpriced Apple products sure cost a lot despite being 2 years old like the iPhone 4.

Yeah if you are going to enjoy the big screen, the Note suits you. However, if you want portability and fits nicely into your pocket flawlessly, SIII for the win.

In conclusion it depends on what you really like. Go to any Samsung store and just play with those display devices. Find one you seriously enjoy and get that one.
