After looking over the Sprint 2.1 leak over at XDA, I think that it has so many deal-killing bugs right now that it has to go back to the drawing board. There is no way that they will be resolved in a few weeks.

June release, if we are very lucky.

fresh 2.0d works near flawlessly. It didn't take months for it to get that way. I'd say give it a try if you are super anxious for 2.1. I think it works better than the damageless rom.

fresh 2.0d working flawless for me. I never installed those damage roms due to all the issues. Came from the fresh 1.5 rom.

Fresh 2.0d works flawlessly for me.

-it is smoother, faster, and way more polished than 1.5

ZERO issues so far. There really is no point anymore in complaining about waiting for sprint. Just root and load it already.

This Leak is most likely their way of doing a free large scale soft launch test with the advanced user base to discover any issues before a massive roll out. I just can't find any issues!

Been running the new DC ROM for a few days now and it's running great. Haven't had any issues at all. I don't even care when the official comes now that I'm running this.

Same here. I haven't really had any issues, except the minor issue of FB taking a long time to sync. It is fast and smooth, and I tried apps2sd on it for the first time this weekend. Initially the apps2sd setup didn't seem to be freeing much internal space. However, yesterday a guy posted some modifications to the setup. Now my system reports that I have 141MB (out of a possible 160MB) of internal storage free no matter how many apps I install. And there doesn't seem to be a performance hit when runnning it that way. Cool stuff.

I ran Fresh 1.5 and loved it. I've been running DamageControl 2.05 and really like it. However, I did download Fresh 2.0d. I plan to do a nandroid backup and give Fresh a try.

FWIW, We all know how these go, but I called sprint yesterday on an urelated issue and toward the end of the call I brought up 4G coverage and the 2.1 release for the Hero. He said that they are preparing for the release now and that it should be out in the next week or two. I also asked about 4G for New Orleans, and he mentioned that we are in the same boat as him (from Nashville) as for when we should get it and it should be sometime in 2011........
