Help My new random storage problem

So I managed to free up 32 MB of internal storage to download an app that says 10MB in the store but from past experience I know is 12MB. It appears to be downloading fine but when Lookout goes to scan it I get an Insufficient Storage message. The weirdest part (to me anyways) was that I had downloaded this app once last month and I had much less storage available when I did the first time.

Any ideas?

(This is not a rooted phone and I am not interested in rooting)

Hi,

well, only thing I can think of is : Maybe the app got upgraded and somehow needs more memory for it's data.....

......well, and the second thing to think is, why would you even deal with 10 or 12MB, if you could have within 10 minutes a rooted phone and never ever have to deal with these problems ? But anyway, since you're not interested in rooting you may have these memory problems also in the future. Why drive a VW bug if you could drive a Ferrari for free ? ;)

Clearing cache for your already installed Alps can already help.
The thing is this has happens to me. And what i did last time was uninstall the apps then install the app i wanted then go back and install the deleted apps

Thanks for actually answering the question. I've actually tried all that and nothing seems to help. I'm just giving up on the app. It was zipcar and they have a mobile si te that does everything I really wanted from the app anyways. I just found it odd that it won't download when there is more space when it downloaded fine when there was barely any room.
