Verizon Note 2 Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

Ridiculous of Verizon to put up preorders when the phone is a month away. Apple did it right with 1-2 weeks away.

Really? Now if Verizon didn't put it up for pre-order when everyone else did, that would be complained about also. You can't satisfy everyone. Just take it for what it is and go with it. That doesn't mean you have to like it. But what other choice do we have outside of changing carriers.

Just a bit of advice for those that preordered online : Call your credit card company as we get closer to the date & let them know Verizon will be charging your credit card. I remember in the S3 Verizon prelaunch thread folks orders were getting cancelled b/c their credit card company would not authorize the charge.

If your a Chase customer I would make darn sure I do this as they were the ones folks had the biggest problems with.

You haven't seen anything yet. Wait til you get to the last week of waiting, THAT'S when it's going to feel like an eternity because you're SO close yet still far away.

The night before I really Really REALLY couldn't sleep. I was parked in front of Sprint at 6 a.m.....store doesn't open til 8. :p

That's not much hardship compared to what I have to go through.

Step 1. Go to Verizon store with my dad when we both upgrade (around November)

Step 2. Have the Verizon employee hand me the phone, have me put in my Google account, then give it back to him.

Step 3. Know that driving home, the phone is sitting next to me.

Step 4. Know that I HAVE TO WAIT A MONTH FOR CHRISTMAS for my phone.

Step 5. (Christmas Day) Rip into that box like a lion to red meat.

Step 6. Repeat 2 years later :D :banghead:

Note: this happened to me with my Droid X, so I'm being legit

If your paying by credit card though your account will not be charged until your device is shipped. So not sure what you mean by "taken out" ?
▲ THIS is how it's supposed to be done but not uncommon to be done like THIS ▼
I went in and pre ordered my phone and the money has been drawn out. My bf checked his account and it was taken out :) so I should be okay? He's with chase?

Actually the first time I've heard of it, that being charged before shipped. Even when you call into Verizon they tell you , you won't be charged until shipped. But let's be honest, how realiable are Verizon CS agents.

Seriously shaddup Lebron

I was on G+ and couldn't believe the number of people who think LeBron with the Note 2 is going to be "THE" selling point. I don't even like sports and LeBron with a Note had nothing to do with me getting mine. Every time that commercial comes on, I change the channel. Be different if the commercial wasn't so boring.

It's more salt in the wound. I mean Lebrons gonna use T-Mobile with all his cash? DOUBTFUL lolol.

At least the size of it doesn't seem too huge bc I'm a big guy as well. Tat was my biggest concern. My galaxy nexus has been randomly rebooting lately too which is frustrating me a bit as well, I just need to really be able to use the core functions of my phone (phone, email, texting and browsing) as stable as possible esp since my new job is dragging on getting me a work designated smartphone.

I guess the whole topic of buying something b/c some famous athlete or celebrity figure has one of whatever it is, are over for me. When I was younger, sure I fell for that whole go w/ what's cool so to speak or do whatever everybody else is doing, but now I go w/ what fits my needs.

If I wanted to do whatever everybody else was doing or do what I thought was cool, again so to speak...I'd be an iSheep right ? :D

The difference is CC vs. debit card, most likely. Pre-Authorization on a debit card shows the money drawn out/gone.

All the more reason to attempt to get it before Christmas. Explain how having it now will fulfill you both.
Seriously though, I couldn't imagine having it within arms reach and still having to wait almost 2 months to use it.

That kind of torture can't be legal can it?

It's going to replace water boarding :p

On a serious note ( no pun intended) anyone here hold an att note 1and note 2? Wondered how they compared.
