Would you trade in your Infinity for a Nexus 10?

I'm not going to lie. I really want a Nexus 10. I think it looks to be a sweet machine. I can't believe the resolution on that thing. And the power to go along with it.

Would I trade my Infinity for it? Tough call. As much as I love my infinity, I think the Nexus 10 is going to be a hit.

The speakers are better, louder, forward facing. The infinity speakers are the biggest downfall of the infinity imo.

MicroUSB is also a plus. I hate the proprietary on the infinity.

It's a nexus so expect your updates as quick as they can get out. They already have android 4.2.

2g of ram, the 1 g was a mistake by asus.

The resolution and ppi are outstanding. This is probably the most frustrating and amazing part. I thought the infinity was ahead of the game offering 1920x1200, and a big reason why I got it was because I thought that this res would be standard on the next gen of tablets. But the Nexus 10 one upped that, making me wonder that as this next generation rolls out, how soon will the infinity be obsolete?

So I don't think that the infinity keeps up with the Nexus 10 on all levels.

Both are great machines. And obviously they are 1 and 2 in the android 10 inch market. But that's why I pose the question. Which is #1 and which is #2?

Actually, that was not your question. You asked if anyone would TRADE IN their Infinity for a Nexus. I was not aware of the differences, so thanks for pointing them out. If I didn't commit to the Infinity, I most likely would have bought the Nexus 10. However, I don't think the differences justify me upgrading just yet. The Infinity serves its purpose just fine.

I would trade it in for sure if it had removable storage. I use the Infinity as a media consumption device, and for travel I would like to keep the SD card slot to store movies and music. 32GB Nexus 10 might e good enough for me, but it would be cutting it close.

Forward-facing speakers is tempting. Also, factor in IO issues that I seem to experience and I have considered swapping (selling the Infinity) and buying the Nexus.

I actually did just sell my infinity and intend to buy a N10 (if stock ever improves, I was locked out of the website yesterday, this reminds me of trying to buy a prime last year).

Reasons why I made the trade:

- I was able to make nearly an even swap cost wise, as the infinity + dock used sold for slightly more than the new 32gb N10.

- I have had it with the IO issues of the Infinity, and was not willing to lose my warranty in order to unlock/root/improve with a custom ROM.

- I want quicker OTA updates & they don't get quicker than Nexus devices. Who knows when the Infinity will see an official 4.2 update.

- I really do like the front facing speakers... that drove me nuts on the Infinity, as I use the device for media playback quite often.

Reasons why I will miss my infinity:

- The superb keyboard dock, with its battery & numerous ports.

- The SD slots, though I never really used them.

- Tegra game support... some nice titles here that are Tegra exclusive.

So... weigh it for yourself. Either way its what is important to you, and either way you'll have a great tablet imo. :)

Unfortunately the way I use my tablet requires a micro-sd (this is something I use on every trip); so the nexus 10 is not an option. Also as a correction to a post above; engadget idicated that the infinity has a much nicer screen; the nexus 10 is just a bit higher resolution.

Probably the major plus of the nx 10 (from my perspective) is better speakers; (we hope but I don't think this is actually known yet) no i/o lag and standard port (usb) for charging.

I coudl live without the sd/microsd slot on the phone but the tablet (for me) is not acceptable; though I do wish it was a bit larger - 13 inch or so screen size.
