Help Picasa Sync and Slow Performance

I have 2 questions. First, how do I get Picasa to stopbsyncing into my gallery?

2nd, anyone have their phone slow down? Mine has slowed down significantly to the point of being near unusable. It takes about 2-3 seconds to just change screens. My keyboard is about 3-4 seconds behind.

Go into phone settings > Accounts and sync > your Google Account and deselect Sync Picasa Web albums.

Maybe a reboot would help the slow downs as it could be a rogue app hanging up.

There's nothing to unchecked next to Picasa in accounts and sync.

I also use cache cleaners and reboot about every hour.

Ok now I was able to uncheck Picasa. Thanks! Anyone have a list of apps I can disable? I don't get why the phone is this damn slow.

I'm no expert, but I think you are probably doing way more harm than good constantly emptying your cache and rebooting. What is the rationale for rebooting once an hour?

The phone gets ridiculously slow. Rebooting doesnt necessarily make it all better, but it improves it the littlest of bits. Enough to where I can use it again.

Are you using the automatic photo sync option in Google+?

I'm on a naked custom rom and I installed google+ yesterday to check out the efficiency of the photo sync option, and I have the same problem. Phone gets very laggy - even when there aren't any photo's to sync. Just unchecking the automatic photo sync doesnt help either. Uninstalling that crap does.

As far as I can tell picassa's default set up only syncs your contact profile pictures. So unless you have 1000s of contacts with constant changing profile pictures, that shouldn't be the problem.

Still slow, eh? Make sure that dropbox is not auto-syncing your picture gallery too. That setting is a known culprit for slowing down the s3.
