Root UPDATED 11/23/12: {([ROM])} Android World Order! !OVERCLOCKED 2.3.6!

Introducing:
Android World Order v1.0.1
The first Admire Rom with The AROMA Installer

This is still a work in progress!
Not all features in the AROMA installer work, but most do.

Android World Order, is the first rom for the Samsung Admire that is based off the Offical 2.3.6 and has the AROMA installer. What is the AROMA installer? Its a special version of the updater-script and update-binary that allows you to use your Touchscreen while in recovery. Thats right, you can use your Touchscreen while in CWM. So basically, the AROMA installer turns CWM into CWMTouch. The AROMA installer allows you to install the apps you want. Flash APNs. The possibilities are endless!

This new version of Android World Order is available in 900Mhz with Spz0's Kernel EXT4 Version and 800Mhz with Stock 2.3.6 RFS Version, with a Metro version of both and a Cricket Version of both, as well as an option of adding nTelos APNs.

What works for MetroPCS?

Everything :)

What works for CricKet?
Everything but MMS and some rare cases of bluetooth droping connection.

Screenies!

.

First off, I love the screen animations, but they might be what is slowing my phone down. I checked CPU Master and I am running at 900Mhz and its still a little laggy. Other than that its nice. I installed most all my apps and still have 119Mb free. I'm definitely digging the icons in the status bar, especially the battery indicator. I like the background but might change it to something else after a while, but I do remember the fifth of November, lol.

All in all its a nice rom, I might stick with it for a while and might stick it on my wifes phone.

Is there a way to turn off animations, by chance?

Edit: Jay-kay, I found it, set it to "Some Aminations" and now it seems to run a LOT faster. :)

Android Lithium is a mix of 2.3.4 and 2.3.6 overclocked with req's kernel and tweaks.
Android World Order is full on 2.3.6 and overclocked with Spz0's kernel and tweaks.

Heres a good analogy I found on XDA regarding EXT4 vs RFS file systems:

Why would you use NTFS partitions in windows instead of FAT32? Because NTFS is faster in input and output of data transfer.

Same with EXT4, it's faster with input and output.

RFS is more stable however...

Actually on these phones ext3 is the best fs. Most benefits of ext4 but no journaling faster.

If I still had my admire I'd probably be working on an ext3 kernel to replace my ext4 one you're using in this rom.

Here is my take on it:
A bit laggy.
Way too many animations.
Love the launcher.
A bit of a battery hog.
Need Link2SD support. (I cannot get it to work.)
Well thought out.

It has link2sd support lol I got it to work. And you can just turn off animations or use uot to flash different animations. I didn't notice the battery thing but I thought 2.3.6 lasted longer.
