I'm a little dissapointed by how slow the updates are coming for this, up to now i have had none, not even the small ics update a lot of people seem to have had.

the asus infinity has apparently well had the jb update, not sure whats taking so long for the galaxy note

The Europe version is supposedly rolling out now. I'm sure it won't be too long for us. I just got mine today, and game play is wonderful. I'm sure when Jelly Bean rolls out to us, it will only enhance what awesomeness we already have.

The difference is that Asus sells 1 device when Samsung sells 15 at the same time and thus needs more time to get all updates ready.

JB has been released in Germany and if you wanted to, you could install it yourself. If you want to wait, it should not take long.

Download the firmware:

Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: N8000XXBLJ9_N8000OXABLJ9_DBT.zip

Then download ODIN 3.0.5 from my Dropbox:

1. Unpack both archives.
2. Open ODIN.
3. Make sure REPOARTITION is NOT checked.
4. Click PDA and choose the tar.md5 you extracted from the firmware package.
5. Press and hold Vol down+Power.
6. When it shows an Android icon with instruction follow them.
7. Connect Note to PC. ODIN will show a blue bar and COM port Note is connected to.
8. In ODIN click Start and wait.

It has nothing to do with rooting. It is only a procedure to flash stock firmware.

If it is turned on to automaticaly check, then yes, it will tell you when an update is available. Otherwise go to Settings>About device and check for updates manually.

I think it does wipe the root, not 100% though, but if so yes you can re-root.

I did not have to re-reoot after JB OTA. CWM took care of the OTA not taking root away.

It will see JB and leave you alone.

How many others here have done the OTA JB upgrade on the Note 10.1 using Szadzik's method or similar? Did it work with no glitches? Mine is brand new but I would like Google Now and some other JB features. I wouldn't want to risk anything major happening before my 15 days no question return ;-)
