Hi, I've recently moved from pay as u go to a monthly package which includes Internet access. I can can get my Huawei U8510 to connect to the Internet via my home wifi but cannot seem to get connected when out & about. I've searched the forum for answers & tried ticking various options on the phone but to no avail. Any bright spark out there that can tell me where I'm going wrong?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have the 3g symbol, if no

go to menu-system settings-wireless and networks-

look for mobile network, DATA or MOBILE DATA. make sure it is enabled. has a checkbox. if nothing PM me and we can further diagnose the problem.

Hi Blaze user, from the FAQ User Manual:

2.4 How do I enable and disable data service?
To start or stop data service, touch > Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Data enabled.

2.5.1 Connect to the Internet using a Wi-Fi router.
1. Touch > Settings > Wireless & networks > Tethering & portable hotspot >
Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.

2. To set Wi-Fi network SSID and password, touch > Settings > Wireless &
networks > Tethering & portable hotspot > Portable Wi-Fi hotspot > Portable
Wi-Fi hotspot settings > Configure Wi-Fi hotspot.

2.5.2 How come I cannot properly use the Internet after I am
connected to the hotspot?
1. The network SSID and password have changed.
2. Your SIM or USIM card's balance is low.
3. You are out of the Wi-Fi hotspot signal coverage.
4. The connection limit of the Wi-Fi hotspot has already reached.

2.5.3 Why am I failed to connect to Wi-Fi?
1. You are out of the Wi-Fi hotspot signal coverage.
2. The connection limit of the Wi-Fi hotspot has already reached.
3. You have entered the wrong password.

I would assume you have set up a Google account? Neil.
