I just hope we can get a 64 gig version off the bat.

Anyone else wake up every morning and first thing they do is check for a shipment email? After this I'm going to need some rehab lol!

::rocking under cubicle desk::

Lol not checking for an email but I AM checking the status pretty often. I should just know it's going to be 6 days until it ships, and 8 until I have it. GAH.

At least it's a long weekend filled with fun and I can keep my mind off of it.

So I've never pre-ordered a phone through Verizon before and no CS rep can seem to answer this question for me.

I pre-ordered the Note 2 earlier this morning and received a confirmation email/number right away, but my bank account still has not been affected. Does Verizon charge right away or do they wait until it ships? Or is this just some delay until they get around to processing the order in full?

Also, how reliable is Verizon with the ship by date? I don't expect my device to come on 11/27 like the page says but I hope it'll at least ship on that day. I've heard stories of some people not receiving any shipping info on ship by dates for pre-ordered or back-ordered phones, but this seems to be hit or miss from what I can tell.

I guess I'm just wondering what to expect. Thanks and +rep will be given of course

I came in a week ago or so knowing my Thunderbolt was due up soon and was just going to get an S3. Some research found me trying to decide between the Note 2 and DNA LOL

Went to a T-Mobile shop today to check out the Note 2 in person. Swung by the Verizon store to see the DNA on the way home. While I'm flip flopping like a politician, I think I've decided on the Note 2. The DNA has a great screen, but I think Note 2 just has too many features over it.

Now to try and talk myself off the ledge when it comes to the loss of my unlimited data and figure out which plan to get. Slightly confusing online, might actually have to buy it in store.:p

In a lot of unboxing and review videos I've watched, the GN2 comes with a set of headphones. However on Verizon's website I see nothing about them at all. Does anyone know for sure? It's not a deal breaker by any means, I was just curious.

This was actually brought up once before as none of the carrier websites mention it, but it should come w/ a pair of white earbuds as they have w/ other carriers.

Correction : AT&T customers did not get ear buds.

Haven't seen you on the thread in awhile! I figured you've given up on this device!

No..just tired of waiting really. Coming over to the Note 2 forums is just a constant reminder of everyone else ( other carriers ) having the device, but us Verizon folks :( Usually I get more excited when threads like these start, but now having gone thru this twice in 6 months I guess my excitement just turned to frustration. Verizon was the last of the major carriers to release the S3 & now again w/ the Note 2.

I edited my post. It wasn't the place for the comment I made.

I do feel for you guys. I got tired of waiting for Verizon to release the phone and went to ATT. Worked out for me. Got the phone sooner, faster 4g in my area compared to tests done on my friends MAXX HD, and my wife gets a larger discount through ATT that I did with Sprint, and would have got with Verizon.

Hold on. The wait is almost over, and trust me, it's worth it.

I kept peeking in this thread looking at everyone waiting on pins and needles for this phone, thinking "wow that's crazy, it's just a phone, stressing over it won't make the date come any sooner." Turns out the feeling is mutual and contagious. I can't wait for next week. I went to best buy and showed the dummy phone to my wife, she thinks I won't last a week with it and that it looks ridiculous. It is, apparently, the mid life crisis of smartphones. I'm excited to prove her wrong.

I had play with DNA today at store. Other than gorgeous high resolution screen I'm not terribly impressed with it. Just felt like a little bigger, faster One X. Compared to GS3, Razr HD on display next to it, it didn't feel that super quick like reviews/forums make it out to be. I'm anxiously waiting on Note 2 on verizon next week.

I went and played with the DNA today and I found that it was very fast. Screen switching was even faster and smoother than the Note 2, but the lack of expandable storage and the dated looking Sense are things keeping me from buying that phone. The size of it was better for me though and that screen was awesome looking.

I read on another forum that someone used a VZW Note II in Best Buy and that VZW has gimped the continuous scrolling of app/widget screen and homescreen and instead had a rubber banding effect when you reach the end. Can anyone near a Best Buy confirm this?

I was looking so forward to this phone but I'm getting increasingly sick of VZW's bs with phones. Between the home button, release delay, locked bootloader, persistent wifi notifications and now the rumored continuous scrolling thing, I'm ready to jump ship to AT&T.
