I was wondering if there was any way you guys can post a thread on how to properly Deodex the zte warp sequent and the proper way of doing it? I'm very good with instructions and I been around since the Huawei ascend 1 came out so I have a very good idea of what I'm doing with the proper instructions of course... Thanks.

Disixda's android kitchen is the easiest way to deodex. But you must have it previously set up with a working folder in order to deodex roms that have no zip/tar package. Even still once deodexed you would need experience with adb shell command to cp/rm apps/odex files. Its very easy to brick your device here and that's why i haven't posted instructions.

If your willing to take that risk into your own hands then i will post instructions as well as my modified DTM OC kernel so you can have a debloated rom/init.d support with zipalign and all.

Yes, if you don't have CWM you could recover should something go wrong. It would just be a soft brick. If you don't have the stock recovery I will post the recovery.img for you. I will make a post Sunday with detailed instructions and a download. Since I'm off work all next week.

When trying to push the app and framework I keep receiving the dont have permission error bs. I am curious as to how others have done it using adb. I can't remember for the life of me what I am to mount or the cmd with adb to mount and then stop and then all that stuff, so if anyone could help out it would be greatly appreciated

So first and foremost you need to visit Xda for Dsixda's Android Kitchen. One fo the best tools for beginners. [KITCHEN] Android Kitchen, v0.216 [Linux / Mac / Windows] Once you have the Kitchen downloaded hit up this link for a tutorial on how to install Cygwin to your windows machine Dsixda_Kitchen_Install_Picture_Tutor.zip (Thanks to carl1961 @ Xda for the install guide) Once Cygwin is finished installing if you havent already extract Dsixda's Kitchen to C:/Cygwin/Home/your username/kitchen/ After you have everything installed its time to setup adb (Android Debugging Bridge)

STEP 1: First download this file called adbUnzip2Cdrive.zip, just click on the link, download will start automatically.

STEP 2: Put you phone into PC software mode and then go to Computer and install the drivers.

STEP 3: Now extract the zip file that we downloaded in the first step to C:/ drive and name the extracted folder ADB.

STEP 4: Now we will go to the desktop and right click to make a new shortcut.

STEP 5: Point the shortcut to ADB folder that we created in step 3, and name the shortcut ADB or whatever you want.

STEP 6: Now right click on that shortcut and go to properties and change START IN field to c:\adb.

STEP 7: Click Apply or OK and you are done. Click on ADB shortcut on the desktop and you are good to go.

Here is list of ADB commands that might be useful for you in the future.

ok after i go to the kitchen and download a bunch of zips pop up, which one do i download? you left that out.

edit: OK i got it disregard what i said.
edit: the ./menu isnt working inside the kitchen did i miss something?
edit: i got past the menu only for it to tell me that im missing something from the kitchen.

Soo I did the deodrx process an it worked fine but when I went an downloaded a app an rebooted my phone it went into android is upgrading an stayed stuck on it ..... anyone know ways the fix for did?

OK I got it deodexed but now I'm trying to understand the part where it says you are assuming we copied the apps on to the sdcard, I dont fully understand.

EDIT: THIS IS WHAT I DONT UNDERSTAND.........

rm /system/app/* <enter>
cp /sdcard/app/* /system/app/ <enter>
rm /system/framework/* <enter>
cp /sdcard/framework/* /system/framework/ <enter>

can you please explain this in a simpler way and what i need to be doing this is my second time starting over trying to figure out, thanx man.

p.s. thanks to shinru for his instructions, without him i wouldnt have even been able to deodex anything in the first place
