i deleted the default bootanimation and text file that tells the phone the resolution and frame rate at which to run the .gif i would be forever thankful
Oh, so then basically u just need the stock bootanimation.zip.
The way a boot animation works is within that zip, there are typically 2 folders with several images. There is also a desc.txt file that tells the system at which rate and resolution to play the images...resulting in an animation during boot time.
Give me a few and I'll pull the bootanimation.zip and upload it for u to download. We'll start there, and if that doesn't work we'll try something else.
Edit:
As mentioned, below is a link to the stock Kyocera Rise boot animation.
STOCK_Kyo_Rise-bootanimation.zip
Once u download the file above, u will need to rename it to just
bootanimation.zip then move (or copy/paste) it to
/system/media folder. You'll also most likely need to change the permissions on the bootanimation file as well. The permissions must be
rw-r--r-- exactly in order for the bootanimation file to work upon boot.
If we had a custom recovery, this process would be much simpler as I would just make u a zip that u could flash in recovery and then you'd be done. Unfortunately, this is the only option at the moment.
If u got any questions, lemme know
