This has been annoying me now for a while. The phone not ringing and going straight to voicemail when people are trying to reach me and data is also affected where I can't go online, get new mail or messages. Usually have to reboot to fix it but, why does this happen anyway? Its terrible thing because, there could be an emergency and I would not know about it.

Stock or rooted? Rooting plus custom roms fixes that problem right away!!:D

I'm in Maryland. I've been having this same problem since Nov 7 and it could have been longer than that, but I actually posted this same info in a root thread. Long story short, I bet if you call boost they are going to ask for your zip and tell you that towers are down and give an estimated time for them to be back up, other than that they apologize for the inconvenience. The three times I've called them I was in 3 different zip codes, literally 50+ and 150 miles from my home zip...can you believe that towers were down in those areas too. Something is going on that they are not saying I cant believe all of these towers are down, if that is the case, who is getting service. I am rooted and was running the ICON rom which I liked until the other day when my wifi stopped working a few days after I changed my PRL. I took my Warp back to stock and rooted so I am not running any ROMS now because I want to see how the phone will react. I mentioned in the other thread how this is really gone too far for me with the no service and I am looking for another no contract carrier with a reasonable bill. I am waiting to see all of the black friday and cyber monday sales to see if I can get me a deal. Last thing, phone still not working after taking it back to stock from being rooted and running a rom so its not that, its boosts sucky service, and I have to call them on the 23rd, my bill is due the 24th so they can credit me for this time that I have not been able to use my phone successfully...their words

I believe it's the service too. I know it is actually, I have the same thing once in a while, no call, but then a notification of a missed call, and voice mail waiting also, then a text message on the tail end of it all!! Please, All three, at the same time? A lot of times? I dont think so, It's Boost Service.

When it works, it works good, then, when the networks get a LIL busy, guess what, we get shoved aside. Happens all the time.

It sucks because what if you have an emergency yourself or someone needs you...you're just sol

It makes me mad because I've been with boost for 2yrs next month and I've had 4 phones in that time and to go to another carrier spend money on a phone where the same thing might happen boils my blood. I feel kind of stuck but I need service consistently and if I have to pay more I don't want to but I will if I need to.

im in NY had the same issue a week ago , phone was down for 5 days and boost created me for it the but its funny what you say cause i was told the same thing, verbatim. my girl has the samsung ultra for boost lives with me and where i had zero service hers worked perfectly the entire time, hell it was her phone i used to call boost to troubleshoot mine.
Yes i too believe boost is up to something the warp isnt even on their buyback program..................
i too thought it was the rom so i went back to stock, but have sinced rerooted and running the same rom again with no issues ...... so yea its boost

We had a strange issue on some of our warps here in canada... when the phone was in sleep mode it would put the network to sleep... maybe you are experiencing the same issue... test it out... turn the screen off wait like five minutes and call your self from another phone and see if it sends you to voicemail. If it does, turn the screen back on and try again. if it goes through the second time you have your answer...

ive had my warp for just about 1 year now, i was one of the lucky ones my phone worked with out issue from the beginning, no freezes no reboots no issues at all. now all of this the no service voicemails appearing and the phone never ringing messages showing up days later is all within the last two months or so.

So what did you guys do to fix the sleep issue because it sounds like that could be it. I called boost last night as instructed and I was credited 15 they told me when there is an outage they can only give you a dollar a day but no more than 15....and they have new estimated dates for the towers to be fixed because of course they are still down and being "worked" on.. .hmph

Well it's hard to say... when it happened to me and i was able to prove it to them with the exact conditions of what happens they sent the ticket to the support section. mean while i realized that I was testing something and this might be causing the issue... i had a apns-conf.xml from the boost mobile mms fix for another device in my public mobile rom as i checking how it would react and forgot about it... so i reverted back to my proper apn-conf.xml and reflashed my rom... and the support side did something to my network for like 15 mins and now everything is fine... Wish i could be more specific about how to fix this issue but it does sound like its just the towers being updated and they are probably running on less towers because of this so they are probably over capacity...

it's still happening on my side, regardless of what rom (it still happens on pure stock)

I have to keep data off when the screen is off otherwise my phone is a brick until I turn the screen on to check the time or something, and as I swipe to unlock I recieve a bunch of missed sms at the same time and usually a voicemail notification which indicates that I've missed calls.

The weirdest thing is that if someone happens to send me an email, it gets pushed through 3g onto my phone even if the screen is off and usually causes missed sms to be recieved right after the email.

And when the screen is on I can use data just fine without worrying, I had the opposite problem on the ZTE N762, which would miss calls while downloading large files over 3g.

If you haven't got a fix yet, maybe a pm to smartmanvarten could help?
Your both on Public Mobile. ;)
