Nexus 7 or playbook?

So I have been looking for deals on the nexus 7 all week and couldn't find any except office depot but that was sold out.
I discovered the blackberry playbook and on amazon, it's like $100 cheaper than the nexus 7. What I mostly want to do with a tablet is web browsing and gaming and that's pretty much it. Should I just get the playbook since it's $100 cheaper and still seems pretty capable? Or is the nexus 7 still worth the $100 more?
Would the web browsing experience be about the same?

I agree with the others. The Blackberry Playbook is outdated and I am not sure how much longer it will be supported. As of right now and without knowing how Blackberry 10 is, I would recommend the Nexus 7. This device should be supported for a long time.

As Wilkas mentioned, try checking out Crackberry.com for more insight.

I've seen a little preview of Blackberry 10 and I have to say that some features in it actually look decent, seems they are trying to open up that app store a bit and get more content.. I don't know if this would work with the playbook though.

I will check out the article.

I know Research In Motion's plan is to throw everything at Blackberry 10. My feeling is that this is their last shot at any type of success will companies and especially consumers.

From what I have been reading, it sounds like developers are giving it one last shot with the Blackberry platform.

And if that goes tits up. I can see RIM partnering with Microsoft. No more Blackberry OS, Windows Phone is what we do now.

If you care more about the money maybe the playbook but i MUST WARN you it is a very old and outdated tablet

Actually the Playbook is very nice hardware, zips along at an amazing rate and will get the upgrade to the new blackbery OS when its released in 2013. If you currently have a blackberry phone then its an excellent time to snag a playbook at a bargain price.. if you don't then its a nice tablet, but not quite as attractive. I've used the playbook for a bit and really liked it...

Given the choice, i'd probably end up with the nexus, especially if I was buying it.. however if Santa gave me a playbook for Christmas i'd be a very happy bunny.

Agree totally. The Playbook is quite nice, is not outdated, and when it gets updated with BB10 will be an even better deal. But since you are into Android already and if you can afford the little bit extra money, I would go with the Nexus 7. I currently have the Playbook but will be getting the 7 also.
