Help, I need suggestions.

Okay so I have an upgrade on December 29th. I have been wanting a phone with stock Android since ics came out last year, but the nexus 4 did not make a debut on Verizon. My question is, should I get the droid dna or the galaxy nexus? Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No point in having a CDMA Nexus phone that doesn't get updated like the GSM versions. Google has pretty much abandoned them. It's not a very good phone IMO. Get the DNA

Yeah, the DNA for sure. It's what a phone should be IMO. I loved my Nexus, but the radios are so awful compared to the DNA. That alone makes such a huge difference. But battery life so far is twice what the GNex was for me.

Gnex couldn't hold on to a 3 or 4g signal for crap and the battery is pathetic. That and the screen is a sickly yellow when it's supposed to be white. Take a look at the Google home page on a Gnex and then compare it to the DNA. Whites are white on the DNA instead of that weird sickly yellow. That is what always drove me nuts about the Gnex.

Coming from a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the DNA has just blown my mind (after 4+ days of use).

Pros:
1. Screen-Not only the 1080p, size, and 440 ppi, but as PDoc mentioned above, whites are whites on this phone. On the SGN, whites were often off-white or had a yellowish tint. I also love the edge-to-edge, curved glass on this phone. Stunning.

2. Battery-Wow. Is this really a 2020 mah battery? I am very pleased with what I am seeing out of the DNA. Blows the SGN out of the water. I realize that the combo of the SLCD 3 screen, Jelly Bean, new Sense, etc is more efficient, but I still can't believe my results thus far. Easily beating the SGN battery and then some.

3. Radio-Again, blows the SGN out of the water. I often struggled to get a bar in my house w/ the SGN. Calls were a bit muddled and cut out. So far, the DNA radio has been rock solid. I am even getting 2 bars in man cave (aka "The Basement"). Also, I am seeing a much more solid 4g signal overall. I often had to do the "Airplane Mode" trick to cycle my SGN back to 4g. My 4g signal has been solid on the DNA (not constantly bouncing back and forth from 3g to 4g or getting stuck in 3g). The one piece design of the DNA is a win!

4. Design/Looks-The DNA is beautiful. Simply put. I like the fact that the back has a slightly "grippy" feel to it. I always felt like the SGN was going to fly out of my hand (when running the phone naked; which I have always done w/ my smartphones). The black and red accents are reminiscent of the Incredible and Rezound, which I always liked. I def. didn't mind the gray color of the SGN. I def. tend to like black or gray/silver phones.

5. Technology-If you choose the DNA, you will be choosing the latest and greatest (whereas the SGN has been out almost a year). The quad-core S4 snapdragon processor is zippy and smooth, the 1080p screen is brilliant, the extra RAM is a plus, etc, etc, etc.

Cons (Truthfully, I will be adding these to play devil's advocate, as I really am in love with the DNA).

1. Size/Form Factor-Will you be able to handle the size of the DNA? I am a bigger dude, so the size is not intimidating. My lady held the phone and stated that it was much too big for her liking (the DInc 2 is the perfect size for her). Personally, I love the size and this screen is WELL worth the extra real estate! The SGN certainly isn't a "small" phone w/ the 4.65" screen, but it is a bit more manageable for the "wee-handed!"

2. Non-Removable Battery and 16GB storage-Do you have a tendency to store a ton of music and/or movies on your phone? I tend to not store movies or music much on my phones. Having an unlimited data plan and liking variety, I tend to stream a bunch of different music on my phones. After loading everything on my DNA, I still have just over 9GB of usable memory. I did like the fact that the SGN had 32GB of internal storage, which I felt like I would never be able to fill up. Also, I had the stock battery and the extended battery for the SGN (w/ external battery charger). It was nice to have the option to switch during the day. But, with the battery results I am seeing thus far on the DNA, the extra will not be needed. And it will be nice to not carry around the extra extended battery in my vehicle and/or pocket or have to invest in an external battery charger.

3. Price-While the DNA's price point is much less than the Note 2's, it will cost you more that an SGN. I say it is well worth the extra $$, but if you are on a budget, an SGN can be had for much less. Again, the benefits of the DNA outweigh the cost BY FAR.

4. Vanilla Android-Do you want or have to have a Vanilla Android phone? If so, the SGN might be the way to go. I really liked my time w/ Vanilla Android, no doubt. But, I have also had a lot of Sense phones as well (HTC Incredible, HTC Thunderbolt, HTC Rezound) and found I kind of missed Sense, suprisingly enough. Felt like coming home for me. I have a friend who hates Sense, but loves MotoBlur. Another buddy of mine wouldn't use a phone w/ a UI overlay to save his life. To each, his/her own. New Sense is a beautiful UI and the widgets are great (for my needs).

I really don't know, at this point, how you wouldn't be blown away by the HTC Droid DNA.
