GTA 5 (official)

I really like GTA4, I beat the original a while back, but recently picked up the complete edition with all the DLC, I'm nearly done with The Lost and the Damned, but not very far on the other one.

I'm pretty excited to see what the next will be like, I haven't seen or read too much about it yet.

Yeah I beat all of them! :) I'm really ready for the 5th

Personally I loved GTAIV even though there wasnt a great deal to do after you'd finished it i still thought it was brilliant game,

GTAV looks absolutly amazing! the fact that you can instantly change between playing as any of the three characters at any point in almost all of the main missions is just unreal!

The amount of times you'll be able to play through each mission and have it happen differently is crazy!:D

I just can't wait for it back to being in San Andreas :) that's been my over all favorite

possibly with it been back in San Andreas,
Ill be interested to see if you can go back to his home street from GTA SA and if theres any easter egg's or similar there.

There is one thing that worries me slightly with all the claims that this will be the biggest open world game to date,

A couple of the open world games that I've played recently (Darksiders II been the biggest culprit) have increased the map sizes dramatically but have not increased the amount of A.I/Challenges on the map proportionally resulting in alot of time just travelling.

On the one hand I think GTAV is probably not likely to suffer this with the choice of three story lines to follow and a main story line and probably countless side missions, but on the other the original San Andreas game did have this same problem for me in some places. GTAIV seemed to me to have a smaller map than GTASA but was alot fuller.

San Andreas was also my favorite because it was so big. There are parts of the game I thought were another game...lol.

I cant wait for GTA V. I am also a lil skeptical about it being the biggest game to date. They mentioned water areas that can be explored. I hope half the map isnt water. I think there was a driving game that had the same claim.

Just make it at least as big as San Andreas and add more land. RDR is big tho. "bigger than the worlds of Red Dead Redemption, GTA: San Andreas and GTA 4 combined"

San Andreas is my favourite game of all time. VC and IV was also great. Some great fun at the airport on IV online! Lol.

Really looking forward to V and the soundtrack.

The San Andreas soundtrack really opened my eyes to some great music that I would never have listened to before. Same goes for Vice City. The DLC soundtrack for IV was great too.

Yeah I understand, I started singing the clucking bell song off of the radio commercial in class the other day you know the "cock a doodle do its time for a chicken..." (you know the rest) but NOBODY knew what it was. But yet they make fun of San Andreas because of how the characters hands are stuck together and laugh about it. But can't remember that song lol!

I'm not really worried about the size of the city. All of the games are big enough for me. I'd rather see the world be smaller with more detail and things to do than a huge world that just makes you drive half an hour to get anywhere.

I was thinking along these same lines, but a bigger world with more detail and things to do. Someone at some site mentioned Darksiders 2 map is bigger than one....but I didnt think so. Guy says it has more ground to travel but not enough things to do, explore, things to fight.

One thing I like to do with games like GTA is drive around and just listen to the soundtrack. Thats one reason why I liked San Andreas the best, I could just get on the highway and drive. But....I think Vice City has the best soundtrack....lol. I'm an 80's kid, I do recognize most of the SA soundtrack too, like some songs on there too, but its just something about Vice City's I like the best. Might be a nostalgia thing...lol

I also like how the setting in those games were in the past. Like gta SA was in the 90's or 80's not really sure. But I liked that. Idc about the newer ones being in the present but I did enjoy the way the other ones were in the past.

Yeah, Vice City was definitely 80's, and I think San Andreas was the 90's. But I don't think you can really say IV was in the past, or even really 3. IV seems pretty contemporary, while 3 was pretty generic, didn't really have a particular time setting. Anyways, when 5 comes out, it will definitely be one of the rare PS3 games I buy as soon as it comes out instead of waiting a year or two for the price drop. I know it will be good and I will easily get my moneys worth out of it! I just hope it isn't like others have said, where you end up spending more time getting somewhere than actually doing things. I did get a little irritated by that at time in San Andreas, where you do one mission, then the next mission takes you 20 minutes to get to. But other times, the size can be fun. I just get lost too easily sometimes, lol!

I'd wait and read reviews, that's what ima do!

I'm still playing GTA4 Complete Edition, so I've been thinking of things I'd like to see in future versions (maybe not possible for #5).
I want to have a button to push to talk to people on the street like in an RPG. Even if most of them had nothing important to say it would be cool.
Dating and friendships should be like Mass Effect, with dialog choices and decisions to make that affect whether they like you or not.
If people are going to be calling you all the time to do stuff with them, they need more activities. Pool and bowling are cool, but you can only do them so many times before it becomes a chore. How about mini golf? Batting cage?
Bring back some stuff from SA, like riding bicycles, and working out or eating a lot of junk food to change the way your character looks.
There's more, but can't think of them right now lol.

Oh, I know one. If you fail a mission, let you restart from there, not make you drive across town and have to do multiple steps just to get back to where you were. That's irritating. Though it was improved in 4, it could still use some work.
If you haven't started TBoGT yet, I believe they did make this change... I want to say when I failed a mission ( ) I was able to restart from a 'checkpoint' of sorts.

Also, I think rockstar has announced what some of the changes and similarities are to the past games... I want to say there is no weight system...

If you fail in gta 4+ they send you a text message and you start off from the very beginning. But hey at least you don't gotta drive all the way back to your check point.
