My expectations were very low for battery life. I was expecting something on par with the Thunderbolt out of the box (which, might I add, I had since day one and the DNA was my upgrade from the TB). While I will say the battery life is short while I flew this weekend, screen basically on for 5+ hours straight, playing games and listening to music, but that is expected almost with any device. And times like that for me and I believe for most of android users are few and far between. What I was most concerned with was real life usage. How long was that going to last?
My TB out of the box probably gave me 8-10 hours of normal usage. That is probably generous also. Yesterday/today have been my first real usage test of the DNA and let me tell you I have been pleasantly surprised. On wifi while at work and home, 4G the rest of the way. Playing music back and forth on my 45 minute commute each way, I have gotten a solid 33 hours. cannot believe it!
