The END OF THE WORLD!!!

Just for fun, I opened up Skymap tonight, set the date for Dec 21, 2012 and a lot of the planets do appear to be lined up quite well.... coincidence? Probably. But maybe there is some cosmic event happening that us mere earthlings are not to know....?

I do wish there was a way to view this planetary line up from a non-earth source though... just to see how well they really line up...

 ;)

It is the dawning of the age of Aquarius
and yes I have too sing it !LOL

The Mayan's believed in the cyclical nature of things......I think they didnt ever suggest or believe the world would end 12-21 at all...just that it was the beginning of another new cycle...

the winter solstace.. the phase of the sun as it passes..etc....the start of a new cycle..among many that already have been...and will be...

still ..I'm gonna party it up a little bit and work on my bow and arrow skills ...anyhow...

just in case;)

About NASA and prediction.

NASA is right about some ill effects. When Halley's comet returned in 1910, there was maniacal distribution of anti-comet powders, pills, what have you. One group had to be dissuaded from human sacrifice. Go check "Bad Astronomy"

Should be some hilarious stuff on the social sites if anyone checks. I don't.

Well I have lived through all the other dooms days, so I plan on waking up at 7 am and going to work like any other day

and the world has lived through all these so far:

for those of you who truly believe in this event occurring, what is stopping your from quitting your jobs and living life with no rules?

Do your remember back in May 2011? a whole group of people quit their jobs because they didn't think this guy could be wrong.. To me this time is no different than any other predictions..

Here's a thought. What if the world already ended and we just don't know about it yet? Huh?? Huh??

Yeah. Just because NASA was able to put a person on the moon, land a rover on Mars and sent dozens of space probes throughout the solar system and beyond doesn't mean that their prediction that the world will not come to an end is any good. :p

It's amazing they have achieved what they have when they can't even keep metric and standard measurements straight :p
I don't think the Mayans ever messed that up :D

I think that has more to do with the US government being their boss. What's with the US and their units of measure? Not only do they not use metric measures like litres, they have to use their own version of mesures like the gallon. I once compared the price of gas when I was down there and was wondering why it is so expensive. Then I realised their gallon is different than everyone else's gallon. On top of that, they have two different gallons. What's up with that?

The US has two different kinds of gallons? Also, we do use liters. Only to measure pop though.
