Is the Reverb an Orphan?

I should be receiving my Reverb today but I'm starting to be suspicious about it. No other forums except this one. No Roms. No spare batteries at Samsung.com. Not listed under menus for Samsung.com live chat. No other carriers. I think I'm going to keep my options open for the next 30 days, don't want to keep a loser phone.

I'm a little concerned too, but the phone's only been on sale for 3 months I think, when it was $250. I think by January or February we'll have a bustling scene. Of course I may look back at this and want to punch myself.

There should be a large influx of people upgrading from the Optimus V from this sale. More people, more accessories, more dev's, etc etc!

Sure hope so at least!

Even if not, I have no issues with the stock ROM at the moment.

Look what happen to the (LG Optimus V).
Theres a ton of support for it.
After last weeks sales theres going to be quite a few new users around.
Give it time, the phones still new.
There be some options open soon.

But one of the reasons the LG Optimus V was supported so well was that there was a version of it released for pretty much every carrier under the sun. The Reverb is only available on Virgin Mobile.

Don't get me wrong. I still think it's a great phone as long as you're looking for a "stock" experience (I just received 2 of them to replace our 2 LG Optimus V's). I just don't think there will be a lot of developer support. I'd be happy to be wrong though :)

That is probably a pretty safe assumption. I'm hoping it receives some love from developers, but I doubt that it will ever get near the level the OpV did for the reason you stated.
