Help "Draw on Image" option doesn't seem to work properly

I'm able to view photos, screenshots, etc and select Options - then "Draw on Image". What happens next is what I can't figure out.

The image flips/inverts and "grays out". I'm then able to draw on the photo, but not as I desire in its true form. Additionally, if I select Advanced Edit, it takes me to the Paper Artist App which I don't want either.

I searched everywhere for this issue. I feel like it's something extremely simple yet I can't figure it out. Do I need to download another photo editor to fix this? I'd prefer to get started with what's already on the phone if possible. Help!

Thanks

Yes, this is very stupid. Basically the feature is for adding notes to the back of the photo. To draw on the front of the photo you need to download the samsung photo editor.

That makes more sense now, however I can't find the samsung photo editor in the google store. Is it under a different name?

if you on vzw is wasnt included [i think it wasnt on att as well] you have a few choices:

1- dl the photo editor apk from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33409496&postcount=764

or

2- on vzw version when on photo take out pen hold down s-pen button on photo it will take a screen shot and a palate will pop up with tools one of which will be a drawing tool

3- download samsung app store Samsung Apps [you can dl this even on vzw but the photo editor doesnt show up]

I see...no wonder when I was recommending download from the samsung app store, some people weren't able to do so...Verizon...makes sense now.

I just pull the photo up in the gallery, screen shot using the spen and draw all I want on it. That way it saves the original and gives me one to draw on....seems to work fine with out having to download more apps.

Yeah but the photo editor is nice app.

Verizon is pretty notorious for doing stuff like that.

Yeah I know. Thats why I try to give them a hard time if I can. Like when they had a "worry free guarantee" lol what bs was that. When u had a problem they would say we have a worry free Guarantee and still not fix your problem. I would say to them I am worrying.

Be aware that that .apk file is not 100% compatible with the US version of Note II. Some of the functions like "Stamp" would crash the Photo Editor program. Maybe that's why it is marked off as not compatible with my AT&T Note II model number.

Drawing on picture - Works
Changing filter - Works
Stamp - Crash

I downloaded and installed the .apk file.

When I take a photo I still don't see the option anywhere to actually draw on the front of the picture. Am I to understand that I have to close the camera, open the editor, then I can draw on the picture?

if you dl the photo editor..... when you are on the pic you want to try on hit menu, advanced edit then pick the photo editor then decorations then drawing.

cheers :)

Couldn't have said it better myself. :D
