Thanks for the link, was able to root my device following all the instructions. Just one question, when the JB OTA update becomes available, will the rooting cause any problems for the upgrade? Thanks.

if you follow the old rooting advice to never accept an ota then you should be fine. this applies to all devices. all you will have to do is wait for the devs to cook the ota into a rom. i do not have any experience with samsung devices so it might be different as to how ota's work, but the given advice never failed me nor should it fail you as well.
