Root Ultimate Droid Disappeared from ROM Manager!

It is an unwritten law with android development... Devs can never play nice or cooperate. Everything always has to be a battle, and like every other competitive market, every dev wants you to use only HIS apps. They never play nicely. Its an awesome way of keeping the community divided.

I don't know why they're all pissy. I for one loved the fact that everything was in one unified spot (minus some ROMs but that's a different issue). They'd rather fragment the community and try to release their own ROM manager (which may or may not be good?) Hell, now I won't even try UD if it's not going to be in ROM Manager. Less complications all around.

This whole thing really ticks me off because i just bought rom manager premium 2 days ago SPECIFICALLY for Ultimate Droid. Now its gotten taken down, put back up against the developers wishes, and is available in the free version. I feel like i had four bucks stolen from me.

Now you have access to better roms easily. Sounds like you made out to me

I find it funny that they are acussing Koush of doing it to try to make money, when the whole reason they pulled it in the first place was so they could try to sell thier own RomManager app and... make money... lol...

not to mention Koush added it back under the free area, I'm thinking that right there shows he is trying to prove a point... :)

this comes down to the UD team wanting to make money. if they were in this purely to provide custom development on the android platform they would not care where it is posted. i am sure they are decompiling the rom manager code now so they can copy it to make their own rom manager based on it. it will probably look the same but with blue text instead of white. this whole mess makes them look like whiny little kids that are not getting their way.

i agree. plus you can just use one of Petes BB roms for free since UD is based directly from his code and scripts.
