Who has a devour?

I have the devour and so far love it. I work at an indirect verizon retailer and bought mine the day that it came out (before it was launched at verizon). i was contemplating either the eris or the droid and then came the devour. it is a good combo of each. what where u wondering about the devour?

Devour is a GREAT phone and compared to the DROID, I prefer DEVOUR. This thing is so zippy with MotoBLUR, no lag at all trying to load things!

I like the droid better. It has a bigger screen, it's faster, and it's running on android 2.1 (though motorola said they will be releasing MOTOBLUR on android 2.1 sometime this month). I like that the devour has a nicer keyboard.

Me and my wife got our Devours last week on a buy one get one type of deal, we originally opted for the Droid but the Verizon store was sold out so we went for this one instead. i am very happy with our decision, ive never had an Android phone before, coming from a htc touch with winmo 6.5 but this flows so much better. i am addicted to rss feeds so the motoblur is great letting me see what i want all on one nice little page. the keyboard is ridgid and the phone is metal and very sturdy. it may have a slower processor than the Droid but i havent noticed any slowdown whatsoever when running 3d intensive games from the market or streaming video.

I like the Devour and looking at the stats it was better for me.

I can't stand Google Maps and I love VZ Navigator.
It's slightly smaller.
The keyboard is more defined.

It was just all around a better choice.

How? I'm trying just to completely get rid of vz navigator. I've never had a problem with google navigation, plus its free.

Where I'm originally from a lot of their maps are slightly incorrect. You won't get TOO lost, but lost enough to be late and highly annoyed. When I found out we were moving to FL I said to heck with that. That's a big reason I got rid of my BB Curve. The GPS kept crapping out. I went to the Verizon store in Ocala to get my network fixed (I was roaming but my sis who also has Verizon wasn't) and the damn thing went out on the way back home. I got SO lost.

I really hate being lost. HATE.

I researched and compared the android phones on verizon for ages before finally buying the devour and for what I need this phone is the best I've ever had! A good physical keyboard and a sturdy feeling phone are two very important things on my list and what ultimmately led me to devour.
I'm so happy with this phone and sooo happy to be back in the android world once more!

I love this phone. I've had it for about 3 days now and it's amazing. I love everything about it except the battery life. First day I got it I can understand it dying because it came only half charged. yesterday I charged it and used it and it died in 8 hours. Today after unplugging from 100% charge, after 20 mins of just texting, it's down to 60% battery life and now about 9 hours later just died on me at work. What if I was in need of a phone driving somewhere and it died. I can't stand not having a phone lol so I need to either get a new battery or swap phones. But I want the full keyboard and the Droid's sucks from what I hear. Anyone have any suggestions? I turn off gps at work and the battery keeps dying on me. I'm new to Android/Smartphones but want to learn as much as I can. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.
