Verizon set to launch an Incredible device “really soon” – April 29th – Android and Me

I`m siked!
If anything only for the speed!
HTC sense with 1ghz behind it is the eris i always wanted!
plus that trackpad(?) makes it future proof!
I do know that if i get this phone it will not be able to get the updates immediately because of sense. I do understand it has no hardware buttons...
which is going to be the hardest thing to get over. but i believe the speed will be enough to make my dialer issues go bye bye!
I figured i`d start here (my eris homies and home girls) then after 4/29 or the middle of may when i can upgrade again on my line, i`ll be in the incredible thread!! :)

so fun!
this will be the phone i have to have for a year or more, being that i cannot upgrade my other line until that time frame...it has to be worth it and make sense before i pull the trigger. im going to do the 30 day try out and everything!
may even take a week off work and go to the shore to really get the feel for it. EXCITING TIMES!!

I've actually seen that it looks like the 25th, of course that may be Best Buy only? Ya, for me it's between the Incredible and the Iphone HD. You might want to do yourself a favor and at least pay attention to the Iphone OS 4 event this Thursday. I'm sure Apple is going to address a lot of the things us Android lovers have grown accustomed to like multi-tasking, etc., and the new hardware/phone is bound to be awesome as well. Plus Verizon coverage!

Anyway, I truely hope that Verizon will finally release the Incredible, and I hope that it actually is "Incredible".

I love the re-occurring theme.

- New Phone coming out
- Everyone gets excited and wants to get it on the first day since they think it's going to fix all their issues ever!
- They are one of the early adopters of the phone
- Turns out that the phone has a few minor/major flaws that should be " fixed by Verizon Soon"
- Months worth of threads complaining about the "new phone" and the "update that never came from verizon"

Rinse and Repeat from the top when then the next NEW phone from Verizon comes out.

waiting on the Iphone huh OTD? :D lol

The day I buy one of those is the same day I post a series of full on x rated nude shots of myself and my girl on the forum.

There is a 30 day return policy. Maybe it'll drop before thats up for you

Well thats the thing i don't want to spend alot of money on a phone. Sure it would be snappier but if i had to pay to return it and then pay the difference on my wifes phone it might not be worth it. Plus how long would i be without a handset? If i could just go in locally and swap and pay the difference then sure, i'm all for that, but something tells me verizon won't make it THAT easy ;)

im confused....
say they drop it 4/29, and say u have 2 days left to try they one u have now...you can say, i would like to return this in my 30 day grace period. u do have to pay a restock fee of $15...but after that the contract is done.
then u say, hey...is that an incredible in your pocket or r just happy to see me? :)

Oh i see, but the only thing is i won't be getting the new every 2 discount, so i'll have to pay the full asking price with a 2 yr contract which is $199 right? Also what if i want to keep my same phone # that i've had for years? Actually i don't know if i want to pay that much for just a quicker processor and a larger screen, i already have a bunch of accessories for the eris (1750 battery, screen protector, seidio innocase, seidio holster) and i've got a vent clip mount coming but i'm sure i could use that for a new phone as well. I dunno we'll see when the time comes what i end up doing, but eating $150 worth of accessories doesn't sound like fun to me.

There are three price points.

If you are eligible for New Every 2, the phone will be free (or you'll get it at a steeply discounted price).

If you aren't eligible for New Every 2, but are eligible for an upgrade, you'll pay what a new customer would pay if they signed a 2 year agreement (and you'll be committing to 2 more years).

If you aren't eligible for either of those, you'll pay full retail, which I expect to be around $500.
