You can easily turn it off with the flip of the switch.

G-now alerts you to the scores of your favorite teams, automatically tells you the weather when you wake up in the morning, will alert you if your flights get delayed, ect ect ect.

It even knows when I'm at a bus stop and let's me know which buses are coming and when they'll be there

People thought siri was an assistant. Google showed them how it was done.

Any ideas why it wouldn't show or know my commute times?

There may be more than one way to do this. If you haven't set up your "home" and "office" locations the information may not be in your google account. If it is it may not be accurate. for instance I've never set up my home or office address, but I assume google/my device knows where I am based on location services and the wifi networks i'm on so it approximates my location. It also pulls address information from your contact card. ;)

make sure you're logged into your Google account
On a desktop do the following:
  1. Go to www.google.com/latitude
  2. Click view location history
  3. click dashboard

On the left side of the screen (you may have to scroll down) you should see your home and work addresses. Edit them and your Google Now information will be correct.

I only upgraded my OneX to JB yesterday and I know G Now takes some time to learn, but i do have one question,

It already popped up a time home estimate this aft about my estimated time to get home, but it was not the route that i usually take because even though its the shortest, when i leave the route google suggested is the slowest route home due to traffic,

If carry on taking my normal routes to and from work will it eventually learn these routes and just give me time estimates for these?
