Is it me or does this phone get too hot too often?

Whilst charging and playing games it always gets very warm.

I've use other phones that heat up - the S2 and the S3 - but they would only do so sometimes. The Nexus 4 seems to do it consistently.

For me it only really happens when I'm playing graphics intensive games, streaming movies, and browsing the web with bad HSPA reception. I wonder if Google or LG would introduce some sort of firmware to help the overheating. I know that LG has had a few phones that had overheating problems (the LG Connect for example) and they fixed the problem with a firmware update later on. Maybe if enough people contact Google about it they'll do something.

Lets do this. Someone write up a petition. Or link a direct email from Google where we can all spam them with our complains about overheating. We are 5 thousand strong in this forum!

I'm having difficulty perceiving plastic as a better insulator than glass.

That's what I was thinking too not quite as good as the old Ronsonol lighter-fluid ones though, nor as long-lasting on a full charge.

Mine has gotten warm a few times, not nearly as much as my Evo 3D did though.
