I am trying to decide between the diztronic case or rearth one. Really like the way the white rearth looks on the N4. I had a diztronic case for the gnex and it provided good protection. Which one would you guys recommend?

Don't go for cheap..lol. This beauty deserves the best. I really like the way the white Rearth contrasts with the black on this phone. On the other hand it blocks the Nexus logo. The smoked diztronic one allows the Nexus logo to be seen. Yeah...yeah I know first world problems.

The rearth website mentions there being a minor fit problem near the bottom rocker and that a revised edition will be available after Dec. 11th. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about the way the corner round and then just cut off on the top and bottom. I'd rather have it go all the way across like the Diztronic to look cleaner and offer more protection.

First of all, this case is EXTREMELY thin. It's only 1mm thin, making it 25% thinner than the original TPU case. The back has a non glossy Diztronic logo on it and a slot cut open for the camera and speakers. It is a bit slippery, but won't catch lint on it or attract finger prints. Unlike other shell cases, this one isn't hard to take in and out. However, you definitely want to take it out periodically to make sure debris doesn't get caught in it and scratch the case. The edges of the case just barely go over the screen making a bit of a "lip". The lip is barely there and you may be able to fit a screen protector on it. The buttons are left exposed on the case making pressing the power button and volume rockers very easy.
Protection
4/5
This case does a decent job at protecting the phone while still keeping a thin profile. The top and bottom of the case are left somewhat vulnerable, yet I understand how it would be tough to cover that part while making the case a "hardshell". Keep in mind this case is only 1mm thick, so I'm grading the protection based on the case's target audience.
Final Verdict
4.5/5
This may be the thinnest case to ever hit the market. At $9.95 you get a lot of bang for your buck; this is a high quality case made with premium materials. You can tell Diztronic took the time to make sure they got everything right. This case is so thin you won't even notice it while still giving you some protection.
Yeah, I'm actually leaning towards selling my bumper... It makes it too wide for me to realistically use one-handed. I might buy the Diztronic and try that out as I hear it's ultraslim. I've never been one to use a case, but this phone just feels to premium for me to trust it naked. Plus because of all the magical cracking back glass, I'm too scared to set the phone down without the bumper to lift it or a case to sit between the surface and the back.
I even left the original plastic sticker on back, lol
I think I'm going to try the hard shell too, it's generally the type of case I stay away from, but I really dislike the TPU case, so it looks like the next best thing, diztronic makes beautiful accessories. The video review above was painful to watch ... I hope the guy goes with a script or something more organized in the future, I found myself finishing his sentences lol
I received the diztronic hard case it is much better looking in terms of size and feels better in terms of size, but with it being 75% of the size of the tpu case it is also 75% of the protection.
A friend of mine bought both in black and he recommends the Ringke. I think he said it adds very little bulk and gives better corner protection according to him.
