I wonder what effect the 'flashables' will have when going back to my present rom?

The old firmware works with the new rom.

If in doubt, maybe wait on the firmware until some brave guinea pig says it's all good for old and new.

I saw there were people that flashed the updated firmware before the stock rooted ROM was available. It *should* be ok

I saw where one guy flashed it all and went back to ICS and was good. Another said he flashed the firmware on Mean6.52 and he was good. fwiw...

Does anyone know what the correct kernel info is for this ROM? I am still S-ON and I need to flash it separately. After I flashed this ROM I checked my kernel and it looked (info below) different from what I had before with Viper ROM so I am trying to figure out info below is correct for the JB ROM how with still being S-ON the kernel would update while flashing this ROM.

My kernel version is the same as you listed. It appears as if you are on the correct JB kernel.

That is very strange.

I assume the dev built in the script that flashes the kernel on first boot.

I think the first one is what I would go with, I don't want the h boot, and the kernel is already in the rooted rom.

Yes, you want the one without hboot. Preferably the kernel as welll.

I'm rooted with s-on and stock ICS ROM. What do I want to download and install and I assume I need to clear my cache, davlik and do a factory reset before flashing too, right?

edit: Never mind. Found the info on the XDA thread. Going to download and flash the odex version in the morning. Going to bed now.

No, stock sense doesn't do landscape.

Simple question:

not sure on the homescreen. i am going to be flashing this later today. so i can tell you later.

but in the meantime you guys should just make a nandroid backup and flash this. either haus's or viperboy's will do. they are pretty much the same being that they are just the stock rom with su(superuser) cooked in. i think vipeboy added init.d support though for some of speed tweaks that you can flash later on if you like.

Not any apps that I know of, but no worries... ROMS with those options will be coming down the road as developers dig in
