Is an official JB likely for this model?

I own the AT&T Note (exact model SGH-I717).

I installed ICS when AT&T released it. I have never hacked the phone. I don't exeprience any problems, and am quite happy with the ICS update.

I do wonder though if I should expect AT&T to roll out Jelly Bean for this phone. I see alot of WWW announcements but they mostly seem to apply to the Note 2 or the Note 10.1, models currently sold widely.

Does anyone know if carriers plan to roll out Jelly Bean officially for this model, or is ICS the end-of-the-line for users unless they do a hack job.

If i'm not mistaken, he has the US version of the Note. And the US release for JB was supposed to be this November. But with the Note 2 being released with JB, i'm sure the Note won't be getting JB any time soon as they will want to upsell the Note 2 with the key point of having the latest os on it. So basicly, hold yer breath, cross yer fingers, and wait to see if we Note users will even see it.

The Note 2 is available in Canada as well (alongside, not in place of, the original Note), and its release was known when the articles were written.

The Canadian and American GS3 just started getting JellyBean this week (was originally planned for November then changed to early December IIRC). Original Note was scheduled to get JB one month after the GS3...maybe end of this month? I'm thinking more likely early in the new year.

So far the schedule is holding true to the most recent predictions. I don't see any reason to doubt, yet, that the original note will get JB.

Honestly, i think we will. I just expect it to take a little while. The N-7000 or international variant got the jelly bean update around a month or so ago, so that bodes well for us. Its just a matter of time until at&t releases their version. Im hoping within the next couple weeks to a month, but anything could happen.
