For some reason i am having great difficulty buying apps from android market. I am from the UK and was wandering if there are other people who are experiencing the same thing?

I have made sure that my visa details are correct, but's it's just not having any of it.

any help would be appreciated.

When you say it's "not having any of it", are you seeing specific messages? If so, then we might be able to help/offer suggestions. Otherwise it's hard to tell what's going on.

Every time I enter my credit card details to make a purchase to buy a live wallpaper say, I keep getting a mesage "there were errors in the information you provided."

I know for a fact the information I entered was correct, so any.suggestions?

Have you checked that your card allows international payments? Some do and some don't and the vast majority of app purchases are from outside UK. I also recall that I had trouble entering the expiry date on my credit card when I first set up my son's Pulse. It needed the format dd/mm and the keypad only had numbers. Had to fudge my way through changing the keypad to get the "/" character. Have you double checked the format?

Have not checked to see my card accepts international payment as i assumed it would. I am with Lloyds TSB so i will check with them tomorrow.

There is already an "/" for the date and month so I dont think that' causing the problem. Hope I get this sorted as it's rather disappointing to say the least.

This might be annoying, but you could try doing a factory reset of the phone. I'm not 100% sure it would work though.

Wouldn't really want to do that unless i knew it would work for sure. I have read somewhere on this forum if you download the bar scanner app that you can get apps on to your phone that way. Can anyone confirm if this is correct, and if so what do you have to do exactly? I'm looking to download livewallpaper apps are not free from the android market.

The barcode scanner will take you to the app in the market. If you're having trouble downloading from the entire market, then I doubt that'll help.

Thanks for you help, but am i still likely to experience the same trouble when having to enter my credit card details when using the web page you have suggested? Will the link that you have given me know what items i have tried to buy from android market?

Thanks

If the payments never went through you never purchased anything and you do not have to worry, just purchase them again.

This website is to enter your credit card details that will be used when you try to purchase something in the market and nothing else.

when you set up the account on google checkout it asks for your card details and remembers it,you wont need to enter them every time you buy anything. After youve set it up you just go to the market and download like you would do any free app.

hope that makes sense!

i had this problem as well. go to checkout.google.com and set up an account. Next time you go to buy from the market you should be fine

Thank You very much for your advice. I was having EXACTLY the same problem, and couldn't figure it out. I went to the google page and entered the credit card info there, and everything that I had purchased went through with any problem at all.

Thanks Again,

Bill
