Root [Sprint/Cricket] No LTE reception

I have searched the sprint coverage maps to find that there is solid LTE coverage in neighboring cities to mine, including about a block away from my friend's house. I drove through the center of a few cities last night with no LTE coverage. I was running LJ7 and the odexed version of the stock LJ7 TW rom. I flashed the LI3 radio to no avail, I still have no coverage. Any ideas out there as to why I don't have any LTE?

It's probably not fully functional in the area. There are LTE towers up but they could just be testing them which means intermittent LTE data. If you're on a STOCK ROM you will 9 times out of 10 always connect to LTE (if you are in an LTE area) as it hasn't been screwed by tweaks and removal of files. It's definitely not your phone, just the area.

What a tease! I hope it is up soon. Sprint has told me there was an update available in sprint zone, so I was just making sure I didnt miss out on the newest modem or anything.

I know right? I'd rather them turn it on when it's complete then have it on and off. I received the same update for the Sprint Zone. I actually don't want to update it, for reasons that I don't really have, just being contrary to the updates, lol

if the sprint site says they are listed as one of the few live sprint lte locations.. then you should catch a signal.

when you are back in the area... stop at a sprint store..
DONT SHOW them your phone (rooted and all)

ask them if lte is live here?
if they say "yes".. then ask them to show you on one of their phones.
walk away!

then try your phone. if you still cant get a signal.. then you have an issue.
flashing radio... might want to relook at that.

Good method. I'll remember this whenever it goes live in my area
