Root Losing faith in Droidmod

I know people around here aren't huge Droidmod fans anymore since they have been so behind as of late, so I'm sure this will ring true for many.

Droidmod 1.0 has been incredibly stable for me and brought all of the 2.1 features I was after, long before 2.1 ever was even thought about for the normal user. And I know many people around here are using ROM's that are updated almost daily. I can't help but wonder though, how much the updates are really adding. At this point mflops or whatever aren't really blowing me away in terms of witnessed, actual speed. Numbers and just that after all; numbers. Maybe when 2.2 or whatever else is next is released for another handset, we will see some major improvements in the ROM's available. I am just worried there's not much more to look forward to. And Droidmod's dragging of their feet isn't helping my enthusiasm.

Sense UI?
Flash beta?
Give us something to test out on our DROIDS.

I too lost faith, i finally gave up on droidmod, i was tired of seeing silly post about April fools day and so on. Droidmod was very stable at first for me but over 1 months time it began to lag and force close alot, i cannot blame that all on software, it could be apps as well. I finally made the switch to using rom manager and so far am very happy. Koush's rom runs just as good and better, i can use live wall papers with the launcher 3d which i like and it works flawlessly. If i want a more customized version, i would try jrummys remix. Will i ever go back to Dm, not sure, i would be willing to give them a shot but i just became un happy with the rom over a period of time and wanted to try something new, i sorta missed the new rom deployment excitement.

Reason why DroidMod is not a factor.... for me at least... and I might think many.

Updates / lack of apparent attentiveness = 20%

Drama = 80%

Drama = death in my mind. It negates any ability to be taken seriously when offering a product to the market.... and we are the market. And because of the drama, regardless of the quality of the work, I cant take them serious out of fear that their collaboration... or group of dev's will start cat fighting again... and I'll be stuck loving something that just doesn't exist any more.

Because of what happened they really lost the confidence of the public. the only way to combat that is hard work and major offerings... and lots of them... kind of like what Koush did / is doing with ROM Manager and his collaboration with Steve.... In my mind I just dont see the effort to keep the slide from stopping. They havent won back my confidence in their product.

you guys are just now losing faith in DM??

Personally I think they are a joke. They are full of all sorts of drama and never release anything. They claim that is because the ESE53 sbf is stolen and they have morals which is hilarious cause I got an email announcement from them them saying use an SBF file to get back to 2.01 if you accepted the update. The ESD56 sbf is just as illegal as the ESE53.

Rom Manager dose that. DM is just full of it if you ask me. I used them for a while but most other roms are better right now. Hey if DM comes out with something cool then I will try it but they have not so no need to mess with them.

the stock that rom manager does doesn't re theme your phone. I had nexTheme on my phone and used RM to go back to stock and it was stock with nexTheme. can't really send a phone back like that

Thats weird I never had to go back to stock so I have not tried it. If its a stock Rom your nexTheme should have been gone. Did you wipe Data?
