Help camera quality

Hello,

I recently got the Razr XT910 and everything is nice except for the camera quality.

When i take pictures 99.99% of the pictures i take are BLURRY and i try hard to make my hands stand still... not to mention the video recording quality.. i have an ipod touch that have a vga camera that can take pictures way better than my Razr XT910.

Is there a program or update or mod or driver that i need to install to get it to work correctly ? or is that is normal to be like that?

Dude,try this.Download Camera360 from Play Store,then enter in settings,thats an icon next to capture icon...Then click "more" and you will enter in advanced settings...There you are gonna click on "photo quality" and select "Super high quality 100 percent"..If that helped,write a post here ! Good Luck !

Maybe youre right,he should try to do something about focus in the camera app setingsD
Or even to flash or update to ICS 4.04...That would make your phone a way better,believe me

The camera on this phone sucks. When I look at all the pictures I've taken over the past few months, compared to pics I've taken with older phones, believe it or not by far the best were from my Blackberry Bold, though lower in resolution always clear and no red eyes. I always get redeyes with the Razr Maxx and inside pictures are usually horrible.

"red eye" is a traditional photographic problem causes ed by reaction to a flash or in some cases a spotlight. A flash too close to a human or animal will easily get the affect. Perhaps your problem?

Are you allowing it sufficient time to autofocus before taking the picture? Perhaps they are out of focus?

If pictures are that important to you, buy a real camera and not a phone.

This is my third or fourth Motorola phone. If you try hard enough you can get a great picture. But it is inconsistent and takes some effort. I still show off pictures vs. IPhone because I know how to make it work fairly decent. However, I blew up a poster from a 3 megapixel blackberry picture and it looked as good as any point and shoot. My only complaint about every Motorola has been sub par camera... (But that isn't a deal breaker for me). Well and no data working on my bionic but that is another story. Good luck figuring it out and making your pictures look better. Oh yeah, I avoid low light too.

Actually "red eye" is exacerbated more so by the flash's placement in relation to the lens, the further away from the lens the less likely will you experience red eye.

Low light conditions are bad for all camera phones.

Remember, it's a phone first, not a camera. If you want good pictures, use a digital CAMERA, not your phone.

That is why professional photographers use those separate lights that have umbrella shades to help defuse the light. They also place them far away from the camera.

My razr has always taken fuzzy pictures. It will auto focus and go past the perfect focus point to a spot that is slightly fuzzy. I've been living with it since I got it. Sometimes it will take good pictures though... it's rare when it happens.

I have no problem with what you said, I'm sorry for coming across as being a tight as_, i always forget to use emoticons and forget that just words can be taking the wrong way, and on the internet you can't ready the sarcasm or levity in some ones posts.

I've never had this issue. My camera does some auto focus thing and takes a picture.

Comes out crystal clear.

When I first got the Bionic with GB the camera wasn't the best but it could be used I just had to have patience for it to focus. Then it updated to ICS and the camera app was great it would auto focus like a champ, was quick hardly even noticed that it was doing it. But now that the phone has updated again, to VZW version of JB?, the camera really sucks I can set and watch it change focus while I breath with my fore arm braced against something that's stable. I use the camera in my work and No I don't want to carry a separate camera anymore after having the third one disappear while on the job. that is just something else I have to keep track of.
