Root [Boost Mobile] Question about Warp OEM

I'm having an issue with Rocket Player. Each time I attempt to use this app I rec an error msg "install failed-reinstall" once I attempt to uninstall rec another msg stating uninstall unsuccessful.

Hi there! First off, let me apologize for the trouble you're having.

Which version are you running? I'll look into it and see what I can do :)

Based off the error message I'm guessing he tried to update rocket player and now it's caught in a loop where it can't run without finishing install and can't finish installing. I'd suggest deleting it and removing data and deleting its dalvik cache then reinstalling.

Yes, that ought to do the trick. I'm just wondering why it's doing that on his copy; none of the testers reported that.

I've seen where sometimes placing an app in /system/app gives issues when trying to update it... at the time of testing you probably had the most up to date version where as now it's most likely been updated...

Good point. Reason number whatever I have got to get that loadable /data partition scripted in lol

Okay, first you need to press your menu key and go to settings. Next, in the first attachment you can see Root settings. Tap on that to get to the menu in the second attachment. Make sure the boxes are checked as I show in the picture. Then go back and try to delete the file.

I don't understand , "r/W", this is my first time rooting a phone and my first attempt using a different ROM. Thank you for the quick reply.

R/W means "read and write," meaning the /system partition (and therefore folder) can be written to and read from. Otherwise any attempts to write to that part of the device will most likely result in an error. And sure, no problem! That's what we're here for. :)

Finally deleted Rocket Player from my phone. I installed a different music player and things seem to be working fine. Thanks to all who responded for the quick replies. I'm having another issue with trying to backup my phone using TWRP backup. Should this be a new post? The error states that my SD card does not have enough space. I have a new card and would like help iupgrading to new SD card. Thanks.
