My first Droid Razr Maxx lasted exactly 14 days...

My next phone's on/off switch would not turn off my phone after just 2 months...

Phone #3 seems fine but I am SICK AND TIRED of the innumerable software updates post ICS installation... WTF!!!! This phone has bugs and I truly believe it has known flaws that Motorola is hiding...

All this in just SIX MONTHS!!!

I am seriously moving to Samsung...

i had 10 bionics. then a samsung and wish i had the bionic back. know i have a iphone that i cant wait to get rid of tomorrow for a pre owned maxx. i think the software is designed with too many tolerances. i phone works well because they only put apps that will work in the app store. android kinda expects you to mess around so they give you a platform so you can make it yours. linux has been that way for years. my thoughts.

I got the Bionic the hour it was released and went through the software hell with it. I still have the original hardware. When ICS was installed followed by a factory data reset EVERY problem disappeared. If you are looking for a rock solid platform today ... Bionic with ICS.

So your current problem is the frequency of the updates to correct bugs or is there something else?

Do you mean system updates application updates?

Did you do a factory data reset after your last system update?

(Phone #3 seems fine but I am SICK AND TIRED of the innumerable software updates post ICS installation... WTF!!!! This phone has bugs and I truly believe it has known flaws that Motorola is hiding... )

What updates the only ones I get are updates for installed Apps and glad I get them. ( can also turn off auto updates in settings if want to keep running out of date software.).
Not much of a problem definitely not a cause to unfairly blame Razr Maxx for. as it the same ICS as most other phones have got including the Samsung so changing ship won't make any difference.

Wow how brave, I've never bought a phone off of eBay. I buy lots of other stuff, maybe I'll look there next time I want a "new" phone.

I look around and ensure it's from a seller that has been around a LONG time. Those that haven't or have little reviews I steer clear of.

Also, if it's TOO good to be true, then I don't go for it. I've seen some RAZR MAXX's on eBay for about $200 or less. Of course, those are sellers who have never sold before, have little to no reviews and more than likely, have just created their account. Of course, they could be completely legit, but at that price, I find it a little too good, considering the average price for the RAZR MAXX is above that.

Still, even at over $300, my phone was still much cheaper than buying it full-price from Verizon.
