So basically, my Evo is very slow. Games do not work as well as they used to three months ago when I bought it. It's not rooted, nor was it ever. I have all of the updates under phone updates, and my sister's Evo V is much faster. How do I fix this?

Thanks guys

Uninstall all the garbage hogging your resources.

This and a task manager will help you since your not rooted.

On another note, it would be a great benefit to root/s-off the phone, but I know some may not want to, but if you read everything and brush up your knowledge of computers/rooting, you should be fine. It really does make the phone much more awesome.

I agree but make sure to only kill the battery hog apps. Still, you don't really need a task manager since android clears out the memory when it's full. But even completely stock, he probably installed some junk which is causing the problem.

Well for rooted users, that is true that they don't need a task manager. However stock users can Benefit from it.

It has nothing to do with whether you're rooted or not, the last OS that even needed a task killer was FroYo, since then the OS is quite capable of managing memory effectively, task killers on ICS use more battery and do absolutely nothing as far as speeding up the device. ICS dynamically tracks memory and only kills processes when necessary thereby keeping apps in memory for quick launching and the battery savings by not constantly having to load the same application every time you use it. If you don't believe me just do a quick Google search and I guarantee that probably the whole first page of hits will agree.
