Hi there, I've made an account here just so I can find a solution to my problem. I was on my phone and decided to go on the internet app, but every time I would type in a website or go to my favourites, the application would crash and the 'Force Close' error box would come up. At first I thought the phone had just overloaded for a second, so I tried several times, with the same results. So I decided to just turn my phone off then back on again, but I ended up in a boot loop. I don't know why it is in boot loop, because I haven't been using any mods, messing with files etc. I don't know what to do, because I don't want to factory reset my phone via the Android System Recovery either, because I don't want to lose anything. But if I did have to factory reset, what would I lose?

Thanks in advance.

You will only loose your user data, like contacts, messages, calendar data, apps, bookmarks etc. It will just like when you first took it out of the box. Only your sd card data will remain intact.

If you don't want to reset then you must figure out what caused the problem and then find a way to solve it, otherwise you can hope the reset solves the problem.
Although if you are rooted then its possible that the reset might not solve your problem.

Many thanks for the reply. So how would I found out the source of the problem and/or whether I am rooted or not?

If you are asking me that how to know if you are rooted or not, then its obvious that you are not rooted.
Don't think you can figure out the problem or solve it in anyway, cos your not rooted.

Just do a factory reset, i hope you had sync'd your contacts with your google account, otherwise they will be gone. You don't have much choice mate, its either a reset or flashing the whole software again.
