Any Favorite Slim Form Cases For Note 2?

I just bought the Note 2 for my wife. I have the DNA. She's looking for a slim case for the phone which will provide some protection against minor drops but nothing big and bulky. Saw the Mercury Slim-Fit case on Amazon and it looks like it would fit the bill. Please note, she's not looking for a case with a flip cover or one with a kickstand.

Any recommendations or feedback on the Mercury case?

What color is her Note 2? Does she like pink?

The most popular ones seem to be the Samsung Protective Cover+, Spigen Ultra Thin Air, Mercury TPU case, speck candyshell (only comes in black or Pink and is only available at AT&T) and the body glove refined gel (only available at sprint as far as I know).

Edit: Forgot about the case I have, the Cruzerlite Androidified case. It isn't really slim but a very nice case for a good price.

I absolutely LOVE my $5.98 TPU JKase Clear. It shows the beauty of the Note 2, is slim, yet covers all the corners and has fantastic grips on the sides. I have tried 4 other cases, some which weren't exactly cheap, and this is by far my favorite. I'm going to order the clear purple next!! I personally wasn't impressed with any cheap slim TPU cases from eBay (got a couple - cutouts not aligned perfectly, have to try fitting a few times to get s-pen aligned, and hardly any lip/bumper on the front to protect screen when it falls down). Also, found Mercury TPU to be too slippery and very small lip/bumper. The only one found to be working for me and offering a decent protection was BK Rugged Hybrid Hard case (shipped from US seller for under $7 - I reviewed it here: http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-note-2/639726-best-case-note-2-a-4.html#post5333428)

Looking up Diztronic case mentioned above, I actually like how it has a decent lip/bumper on the front and was actually mentioned in Amazon reviews as one of the pros.

Stay away from Seidio. I've had the surface and 2 different active cases and all 3 interfered with the pen function due to magnets.

I've also tried the elago and rearth slim cases. No grip on either, no protection, and the rearth was loose on the phone.

I currently have a mercury and very much like it. Protects all corners, good lip, and very nice grip. I really want something w/ a good kickstand, but will keep going with this until a decent one comes out.

Are you talking about Mercury from Amazon? I just bought 2 of their cases (in white and yellow) and had to return both of them. The fit/cut was perfect, but there was hardly any lip and it was slippery in my hand. When you put it on the surface, it had a nice friction but in my hand it was like a bar of soap (both colors). Not to mention their solid colors have some sparkle/glitter. Makes me wonder if they have different versions or something else. Your description is like you talking about absolutely different case.

Yah, that's the one.

The lip is decent. It's not otterbox, but I can lay it face down. The lip is made from a different coating than the back. Yah, the back is a bit slippery in my hand but the lip adds the grip I need for holding the phone. I like the grip on surfaces because it makes writing easier. You could also use your phone to scale a glass skyscraper. You're right about the glitter. I freakin' hate that they did it.

Like I said. It's a cheap $10 case that I'll use until someone like Seidio can get their act together. Otterbox is just to big for such a big phone.
