I just purchased an album in the play store, took me at least 20 minutes to figure out how to download it to my phone instead of streaming it. But after I downloaded the full album, I couldn't find where play music had downloaded it to, and my preferred media player couldn't find it. Does anyone know where I can find the music I have downloaded through play music?

Thanks chase, already spent several hours trying to figure out how to download purchased music, and up to now still looking for the files I've downloaded. I should have just bought my music from Amazon. Buying music from the play store proves to be quite a frustrating undertaking.

purchasing from google play stores it to the cloud unfortunately. when you click on the diagonally arrow on the music file it gives you the option to "keep on device", but it isnt showing up under sdcard/android/cache/music so i'm going to restart the device and hopefully it will show up there

well crap just go to google.com/play go to my music tab and download the album as a zip mp3 to your computer and add it to your media folder LOL

Looks like I'll just go back to the old ways where I but a cd and just rip it to my laptop. That way I have a physical backup as well as a digital one. Shouldn't downloading mp3 more convenient than buying CDs? Good knows why they have to make it so difficult.

:mad::mad: back to power amp I go. thanks anyway Caloy!

Even with Google Music and Spotify's capabilities of streaming my entire album (and downloading the hard files I'd want on my device), I still prefer PowerAmp and the old school method of moving over music files from my PC. If I used my phone as a media player more, while I was in one location at a time, I think I'd use Google Music or Spotify more often. PowerAmp has never given me big issues (except when they did their 1st re-design and it did away with some skins that were much easier to use).
