"Jellybean 4.1.2 update"

It is not the SD card that is the problem. Can you access the internal storage when hooked to the computer? It a lot of little glitches that prove it should not have been let out. I never had a problem with battery life and still do not. My biggest gripe is the stuff that was on the internal storage that seems to have gone POOF.

When I plug my Razr into my PC I get three new drives letters. The first containing a particion with Motocast. The second being the internal storage. And the third being the external (SD) storage.

I get the Motocast and the SD card (external storage). Hmmmm. Wonder why.

It sounds like your update did not complete properly... for whatever reason.

Might be prudent to call Verizon Wireless and see if they can troubleshoot and replace your phone. Unfortunately this sort of thing happens from time to time...

If I could turn back time, I would refuse this update. It is missing features, things are not complete. The computer cannot find the internal storage and all the folders appear empty which to me says "your stuff is history". They have renamed drives - most likely for testing and not for release. When you long press to turn the phone off, there are now two options - airplane and off. Then you have to confirm that you want the phone off. Pointless. When you go to set alarms, tap the alarm clock. No you don't get the three alarms. You get yet another screen with date and time and "alarm clock". So you tap that. NOW you see the alarms. Again...pointless. Folders in gallery are all doubled but nothing can find the internal storage. For the first time since I had the DRM, I got up this morning and it was on 3G. Signal is never 3G here. It finally went back to 4G but I really hope this did not mess with my radios. The feature of swiping to the right for music controls? Not there. This is a half baked mistake. And us poor idiots who got stuck with it are just that - stuck with it.

One good thing? You can see the notification bar icons again. Yeah. That makes up for losing photos and such on the internal storage. I really hope for Moto's sake that that stuff shows back up when this is finally ready for prime time. I don't know if renaming the SD card and internal storage was for testing but if it is permanent, your computer will not be able to find it again. We have two DRM's in the house. For the first time in all the years we have had smart phones in the house both of us got the updates at the exact same time. And neither one of us is happy with the mess that was made on a once stellar phone. If you didn't get it, consider yourself lucky.

The two options when you press power are normal, my wife has a Razr M with JB and it is the same way 2 options then confirm for power off.

The launcher apparently was not upgraded with this so you can pick that up here and get the circle widgets, that solves the alarm problem also as it gives an alarm icon under the clock. You'll need to install the homescreen, weather and circle apk's and reboot. Don't worry about the directions under #1 just download and install.

Can't help much with the photos since mine are fine. If you go to settings>storage does the SD card even show up?

Yes both internal and external SD card show up on the phone from settings storage. The internal shows two of every folder and the SD card shows two of every folder so I have four of everything. But if I open the folder on the internal they are all empty. The SD card folders appears to contain photos. Just weird. Not just mine either - my sons did the same exact thing. Our updates happened at the same time. I am afraid to delete anything because if they are just cross-linked then deleting in one will delete all. Can't risk that.

Interesting... I got the update yesterday and it seems to work just fine!

I can browse and access files on my SD card without issue. Battery life seems to be significantly improved for me. I had the phone on with WiFi enabled for 10 hours and the battery on my Razr is down to 80%.

Did you clear the cache or do you think that's not necssary? Still waiting for the update here.

Interesting. When I plug my phone in to the computer I get 1 new drive named 'Droid Razr'. Under that drive are "Internal Storage" and "SD Card".

It's also notable that the Razr 'drive' does not have a drive letter assigned. I would expect it to show (E: ) or something along those lines, but it doesn't. It actually shows an icon of what looks to be a phone (a rectangular blob - it could be a phone, it could be an MP3 player - I presume it indicates a 'device' of some sort).

A while ago I made a change to the Motocast so that it would quit pestering me every time I plugged in my phone, that COULD be the reason why I don't see anything about that now when I plug in the device.

Edit: It just occurred to me that I had my USB connection on the phone set to "Camera". When I changed that to "Mass Storage" I got three proper drive letters, as it did before the JB update.
