NEW! MetroPCS rate plans for 2013. thoughts??

How do you get a less expensive phone online than in store? Are there special online promotions I don't know about? You have to pay the plan promo and first month fee's no matter where you bought the phone.

Wasn't talking about any of the fees or anything. The phones themselves are almost always MORE in store then buying it from Metro's website or off of sites like Wirefly where they charge even less then Metro.

So that's what your whole "buying online" spiel was about, I see now. Well that's sad to hear for you. I'm in FL and I've been to many stores, including corporate stores, and literally every phone I've seen is the same price in-store and online. So I guess maybe it just depends on where ya go.

Seriously you don't have to be so condescending, it wasn't a "spiel" everyone knows you can regularly find better deals for phones by buying online then going into a store. Apparently your Metro stores sell for the same price as the Metro site, which is surprising, but I would be very surprised if that held true for most stores.

And really I was referring more to buying from Wirefly where a phone like the Motion which is normally 149.99 is 138.88. And yes that's not much of a discount of course they don't charge sales tax and shipping is free so its actually a bigger discount depending on what your state's sale tax is and how far away the nearest Metro store is.

And really this went away from the originial intent of my posting which was to inform elcocho852 that yes he could go buy a phone online and activate it in-store to get the $30 plan.

When I spoke to the very helpful girl at the Gainesville, FL Corporate store, I asked her about their prices. She said, "We're a Corporate store, our store prices are always the same as on-line." I have no idea if that's the case with every Corp store but to me it also alluded to the possibility that the authorized dealers May charge more.

Don't read into what I say too much man. ;)

I just think maybe you haven't been to too many MetroPCS stores recently and checked the prices. Though I could be wrong. Maybe you're right, and it just depends on the area. Anyway, I appreciate the info about wirefly. I didn't know about them selling the same phones for a discount. :)

Dealers often do charge more, as a dealer I would charge as much as I could until the negative pr got too bad hehe.

1st off just remember it expires the 31st
Q1 it has to be a new line added to your account so I think that means new number.
If she's already on your account just cancel her service & see if they will let you choose that number. Not sure if that would work though so maybe someone else will elaborate.
Q2 yes since it's not a smartphone it's included in the promotion. Even though I don't see it on the website

I am, why?

as some of you may know im switching to metropcs. im looking to join a family plan that already has two lines. i keep reading stuff that all 4 lines are 100 bucks (that includes 4glte devices) off their website. other places its you pay for a whole nother line but you get a minor discount.

wife will have a 4glte device as will i, how much will it be adding onto their current family plan? trying to find a happy medium with splitting the bill :)

I'm on a family plan. Originally we had four regular non smartphones which set my bill to $25 for each phone. I upgraded my phone to the Motion with the $55 unlimited plan. Since I'm on the family plan I only pay $50 for my unlimited 4g plan. :D

so following that logic im looking at around 100 a month for our two lines? and 200 for 4 lines?

Once you have more than 1 person it's $5 off a line so if you get her the $50 2.5 & you get the unlimited $55 or $60 depending on when you switch it's either going to be $90 or $95 I use to be on the 4 for a 100 plan but I'm pretty sure that's not available for 4G
So for both of you it can range from $90-$110

we arent gunna catch teh 55 dollar plan and 2.5 is more than enough for both. so since we are being added on we would save 5 bucks on each plan, so 90 bucks a month for both lines :)
