Hi Guys

Since i have update my phone to Jellybean I have noticed a very annoying beeping noise whenever the phone the fully charged. I usually charge my phone during the night and this beeping noise is very annoying.

Any one else experiencing this and if so is there a way to stop it.

Same issue with my Mrs phone since I did the Jellybean upgrade. It's driving me mad going off all through the night and I can't find any way of turning it off.

It's odd though, as it's not the default notification sound that goes.

turn phone sounds off at night before you plug in and go to sleep

its simple just pull down the notification window, tap the sound icon untill its set to off

The only problem with that is that there are times when it's needed that the phone rings during the night, if someone needs to get in touch in an emergency.

I can't believe that there is no control for turning this off when pretty much everything on Android is cusomisable. Seems a ridiculous oversight! I don't even see the point in such a notification sound in the first place.

try this settings/sounds/volume

crank system sounds off that should still give you all you other sounds but not the system ones

It first happened to me a few nights ago, and I've had this phone for almost two months now. The only way was to mute the phone, but that's not a real solution. The fully charged sounds seemed random during the night, and it seemed really odd, since I haven't experienced this kind of behavior until now.

I've just stopped system sounds, and will check if the "charged battery" sound will come on tonight again. I also wonder what else gets muted when tinkering with system sounds?

I guess the notification sound will get muted.

system sounds would be the sleep/wake sound, the keypad press sound, the dock connection sound, and hopefully that beep for the people its happening to

i do not get a beep through the night even when i have system sounds on

Actually, the dock sound is not muted, as it's a separate section in my settings... also keypad sound gets its own tick/untick box..

I don't exactly remember how it was on ICS, compared to JB I am on now... I only remember my phone was only making the "fully charged" beep once, and then that was it.

correct just turned down my system sounds and the dock sound still works but the lock sleep sound is silent even if it is ticked to make a sound in settings

Double checked now, with system sounds completely off, I still get the docking sound. But that can be easily turned off in Settings>System>Accessory>Dock sound, by unticking the box.

But still happy to know that with system sounds off I won't ge that beep in the middle of the night when phone gets a full charge. Actually, repeated beeps...

Turning all sound off is not an alternative.
Came after upgrading recently to jelly bean. Ive tried turning off everything of system sounds. Notification volume etc.

This must be a bug. I just cant believe they missed such an obvious flaw. What am I missing?

Anyone managed to work around this prob.?

I have recently upgraded my phone from Samsung Galaxy 2 to Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and now have this issue. I presume it is because I am now on JB.

This issue drives me crazy as I am a light sleeper and am out and about all day and only have the option of charging the phone at night.

I do not want to Jailbreak my Phone nor put it in Silence mode as there are times when I can get a emergency call during the night. I also do not want to turn down the Systems Volume as this then silences the Alarm also.

Please, anyone, any help would be appreciated???

Thank You!

Hi,

I have found a solution for the Galaxy Note 2. There is a setting called Blocking Mode where you have the option to Block the following:-

Disable Incoming Calls
Disable Notifications
Disable Alarm
Disable LED Indicator

I selected disable Notifications from Midnight to 6am and I no longer hear the beep :smokingsomb:

PS Apologies for submitting this in the S3 Forum!
