This is for PlayfulGod's Black Plague Rom only!

Hi guys, I've updated the PDroid|Data Throttle Remover|Smooth Scroll mod/patch for the Black Plague ROM.

Remember, after flashing this you have to download the pdroid app from the market, if you don't have it already. It allows you full control over any apps allowable permissions without breaking the app.

Installation Instructions: BACKUP YOUR ROM, download the patch zip to your SD card, Boot your device into your custom (CWM) recovery. Select "install zip from sdcard" Select "choose zip from sdcard", Select the "ModBlackPlague.zip" patch you have put on your SD card After flashing is finished, reboot the device. Install the PDroid app from the Android Market.

Here are the original links to each mods respective threads so you may learn what they do for you. This mod is all three rolled into one.

Enjoy.

Coo. Thanks bro. I will flash this for the smooth scroll.

I was thinking about that earlier. Some people may not want all three of the mods so I'm going to also put them up as standalone zips for black plague.

Though I can't see why anyone wouldn't want all three lol. If you guys don't want to use the pdroid app, there's no harm in flashing this. Even though it'll apply the mods necessary for pdroid, if you don't want to use it just don't download the app from the market.

Next on the list: stock deodexed zva ROM. That is if pg doesn't beat me to it ;)

That would be swell. I don't use pdroid and the data throttle governor doesn't seem to work for me.

bummer, the only reason I wanted it was for the throttle remover, back to regular old BP I suppose...

That's odd. There's no reason why this mod should have caused that issue, it only allows you to change permissions, and doesn't do so on its own; you have to manually block permissions yourself through the pdroid app.

No one else seems to be having this issue, and beautiful widgets as well as HD widgets are both working fine for me.

I will be uploading all three mods tonight by themselves so that people can choose what mods they want without having to have all three.

Bear with me guys lol, I've been insanely busy, today is my son's second bday, so we've been doing a lot with him today as well as planning/setting up for his party for tomorrow.

What do you mean it doesn't work for you? Its working for me lol. You know what the data throttle remover does right? Some people seems to think it does something that it wasn't intended to be. Check out the original thread in the op for info on what it does.

If you can give me a little more detail I'll check it out and see if I can't figure the issue out, but I'm not sure how there could be an issue. The mod is a very simple edit, nothing fancy.

Seems to be working fine for others.

Nah. It's not that it's not working. It's effectiveness is what doesn't seem to work for me. For example without it I download files at about 50kb/s to 650kb/s. Staying on about 400kb/s. With it my downloads are more steady but they stay steady at 220kb/s.

That's odd. I'm not sure why that's happening, it works for me, hmm.

At any rate, ill have the individual mods up soon. I haven't been around because Saturday, before my son's bday party I rolled my ankle on some shoes coming down the stairs :banghead:

Two Dr visits, a scheduled mri, crutches and a wheel chair.. Lol I'm not bouncing back quickly from this one I guess. :(

Ok i think it does work after all. I installed it again on broken out and my dl speeds was almost twice as fast. Is it possible that installing the smooth scroll script could have canceled it out?

I'm not home to check, but I don't believe so, I know 2 of the 3 mods over lap each other, so they would cancel one another out if installed separately, that's why I put all 3 mods in one package, so they can all be used at the same time.

If you installed it via the 3 mod package I made then no, it wouldn't have canceled the throttle mod out.

Yeah that's what i did. Seperate installs. But never again. Lol.

I have stock ZVA. I tried flashing PG's rom and flashing the throttle mod. It looks like my data is still throttled, do you have to flash the ZV8 or ZV9 first before flashing PG's rom?
Thanks!

This mod won't give you faster data if you've gone over your data usage and being throtle.

Picture it like a small garden hose. This mod gives you a bigger hose. But even a big hose won't give you more water if the spicket is turned down.
