Looks amazing, but unfortunately it's most likely not the Android interface. The interface in the video is a concept developed by TAT, a Swedish software firm. They recently joined with Symbian. However, it would be smart of Google/Android to utilize some of TAT's work, if not just reference their work for a final UI.

Android is (going to be) open source, and it does support hardware video acceleration so there is no reason that this UI isn't possible.
Android isn't limited to phones either, it's a full blown OS for small scale devices. I can't wait for my Android TV remote, now that is going to kick ass! Not to mention my Android fridge, alarm clock, and robot dog!
These are just TAT tech demos to show the rendering capability of their UIs. Im not sure why the dude on youtube titles them with regard to android being better than the iPhone. I wouldnt be surprised to see at least something from them for Android tho since they are part of the open handset aliance. Heres to hoping!
Yeah, xeorene, I have yet to see a mobile phone with extensive use of a semi-transparent, kind of "foggy looking" UI. I personally dig the aero theme for vista, much more than Mac OS's default look. However, it would consume a lot of resources, and even if the hardware was capable, the battery life would sure take a hit when a user is getting around his/her phone.
