Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10, AOKP41)

So this is specific to aokp then? Please file a bug and mention that, in addition to adding the aokp tag.

Thanks!

No, sorry... I guess I made it confusing. Its happening in both as best as I can tell. I will file a bug on it.

Honestly I'm just happy to see that it does charge - from finndo77's experience I was worried that cm10 wasn't charging at all during phone off charging. Based on this I think he might need to reflash the rom tho.

@Neph: Got my spectrum to say "tethered" with this kernel: kernel-usbtether. This is a bare kernel, you'll need to pack it up into your boot.img and "dd" it to the boot partition. It's compatible with existing modules from my beta builds, both cm10 and aokp41.

If it works, I'll commit the changes.
It's going to be a few before I can try this. Building a kernel for the lucid and sucking at it hardcore :( . All for the simple fact they have 480x800 instead of 720x1024 screen resolution. Man I hate LG.

Also, this is a straight zImage, correct?

Yeah it's a zimage. But don't worry I got it to work on my laptop so I'll be pushing it out and spinning a beta4 in the next day or so.

New roms:

quattrimus-iproj-cm10-beta4.zip
md5=f03c856796ffdc14f6065b81467b71df
quattrimus-iproj-aokp41-beta4.zip
md5=473e4edd8ff6e0f3f66b09d9720d3991

These are completely untested but should work. It's too late for me to test them out. The only change from beta3a is the new kernel, which should enable usb tethering.

Please test and verify. If these check out I'll update the OP and post them on the other two mirrors.

@devs: kernel changes are already pushed.

Will beta4 have the option to automount USB storage? Air droid is cool but if I need to connect to a computer at work, I can't mess with the network.

USB Storage was fixed in beta3. It won't automount (no copy of CM automounts to my knowledge), but it will give you an option in the pull down menu to turn on USB storage. It uses generic USB storage drivers in Windows.

It might have been brought up already, but is there a workaround for Flash Player in either CM 10 or AOKP?

Also, is there a way to add Aspect Ratio Correction to either of these great new ROMs?

These ROMs are coming along greatly with so much devotion from the DEV community, I thank you all so very much...

Not sure about the aspect ratio but I use this apk for flash. It didn't seem to work for dolphin browser but it works great on the default browser... not sure about others.

Edit: Neph posted the link to where I got my flash apk 3 posts down from this one, so I removed the attachment. Follow that link instead.

I just think I have a whacked out phone, I've had some pretty weird stuff happen with it... about an hour ago, I took a picture, pressed the home button, then (after seeing the homescreen) pressed the power button to turn the display off and dropped my phone in my pocket. about 10 minutes ago I tried to turn it back on to look at the picture, the phone was powered off, would not power back on. pulled the battery for 3 minutes (+/-) and then it powered on as normal.

Probably going to call my local store and see if they will do a hardware warranty swap out, as I had several issues on stock V7 too. I've been putting it off for 6 months, as I've had fewer issues than some people, but since the ICS update I've had a phone that crashed loading the phone app (V7 rooted, until I installed CM10 b1) because of a contacts.apk FC and I could only call someone AFTER sending them a text message (if I had not recently sent or received one from them) even if it was not a cell number. spent a week trying to resolve that issue, even clean V7 installs with out any other app but Google voice installed had the same problem, not Verizon's problem, but lets just say very annoying. It is too much of a pain to reconfigure my phone all the time, so I procrastinate on new rom installs and returning the phone for a replacement.

Here's something odd... I've found the OS is shutting off my data connection after I use wifi for extended periods. Not sure how to track the cause of what's de-ticking this box.

Don't use the stock browser to get flash videos working. I've had no issues with firefox and dolphin.
