Aw shiz. Sad to see ya go! I believe Giantpune needs another phone for testing. And drewwalton has his stuck in QDL mode so it's completely no return bricked. Would you ever donate the phone?

I'm thinking about it. It really all depends. If my dad takes up this phone then it's a no. It's more than likely I'll be able to donate my OE though.

Lol man, me and you are in the same boat. I'd love to donate, but my dad is taking it up for his first smartphone.

West, shoot me a pm if you need any help with your HTC!

He has the Samsung Mesmerize. I would root it for him but the mesmerize (or fascinate, not sure which it is but I know it's the one Verizon has) but I can't figure out how to update for android 2.1 when I try to update it asks to turn off wifi which it has no data so can't download it. If you would like to help me with that, then by all means do. I'm sure I'll need help with my evo as well.

Lets move this to PM's so we don't get off topic in this thread.

Damn, the Evo V looks like a sweet phone. Anyone want to donate one of those to me.......:p

Get it while it's hot. $150 if you order it from the VM page, and it arrives in just a couple of days. I'm rocking 4.1.2 AOKP on this bad boy, OC to 2GHz dual core :)

Seriously, the dev community on this phone is amazing. If you look at the xda forum for the Evo 3D CDMA (essentially the same phone, for sprint), you would be amazed. They already have a 4.2.1 AOSP build almost done.

The screen is amazing. HDPI, almost 260 pixel density, so you can't see each individual pixel like you can on the elite.

Also, if you stay stock, this thing has a 3D screen and 3D camera.

3D doesn't work in JB builds, but there's this cool thing on the 4.2 camera called Photo Sphere. It's basically 360 degree panorama, and you can upload the picture to Google Maps and show the world what you see around you.
